Off topic

You can't beat home made Chips and I don't mean American Chips. Good old fashioned English Chips.

Moving to the lounge. Also, please try to come up with a better topic title than that.

By "chips", do you mean American "french fries"?

I don't know, man. I like my In-N-Out animal style fries and Five Guys fries. And I don't have the kitchenware to fry my own potatoes.

Hove. Bankers. Chips - crispy outside, fluffy inside, always cooked to order.

(And their fish batter... just amazing)

Anybody else mix their own seasoning for chips? :)

The local Chooks take away had great chips, but they closed down.
My favourite at the moment is PJ Steaks at West End, their beer batter chips are always perfect (plus the philly cheese steaks are great).

Of course the true chip connoisseur method is to take a sip of vinegar while eating, not to sprinkle or dip. It preserves maximum exterior crunch for as long as possible.

    Other good chip places:
    - Da Burger
    - Nandos

But for simple walking around chip urge, Red Rooster works well.

I'm not a fan of the "chips covered with everything" style I've seen around lately. All the melted cheese, sauces, meat, etc piled on top. By the time you get part way down all the remaining chips are a soggy mess. I wanted chips, not mashed potato!

Excuse me, you seem to have dropped someone else's meal on top of my chips.

I must not be a true chip connoisseur then. I sprinkle a few chips at a time so as not to get them too sogged up.

The awesomeness of fried potatoes. One of the few things the whole world can agree on. :)

    This thread needs more images.

The image above contains In-N-Out Burger "animal style fries" which are french fries topped with "spread" (mayonnaise, ketchup, and relish), cheese, and grilled onions.

Not as good as fries served at a normal sit-down restaurant. But for fast food, it's really good.

We don't have In and Out Burger in these parts. That's a Left Coast thing.
Hey, you're in San Fran. Going to crash the Oculus event?
