Price match problems

Having brought my Meta quest 3s for £289 in early November,  the item went onto sale for £249- Meta duly refunded me with £40. Since then, Meta are now selling the same product for £209 via my xbox account for £209. The price match has been rejected.

Since i have 60 days to process a return, I've been asked to post back my item, receive a refund and then repurchase a brand new headset. This for me is a significant waste of time and resources for all parties concerned- particularly when Meta can simply refund me £40 to align.

I've contacted support who said no manager is available for escalation and to comment on the forum for further help. Help please :)

This is kinda funny, isn't it?

How can a community forum help you to get your money back?

I think if support refuses the refund, you have no other option than to return the device and buy a new one at a lower price... or just do without the money.🤷‍♀️

Indeed- just seems rather strange that I have to jump through loops! I agree- Really strange to suggest the forum for support/escalation but thought why not!

Yes, why not....nice to have you here Minhas1986 🙃

Actually, support often directs users to forum and pretty often the community can help.
But when it comes to money.......
