Question

Shipping no longer delayed? + First Impressions!

I'm putting this in off-topic, since I don't want to get in anybodies way, and I know its mostly due to my own supidity and lack of presence.

I've been avoiding Rift news for a few months while I saved up to get one. I may not be a developer, but I'm a gamer who likes to test things to try to help out that way.
I ordered mine and expected to see it in a month or two, but from what I've seen in the forums, shipping is no longer a big issue? I even saw "Shipping takes 3-5 business days" on the order screen.

So my question is, has the current state of shipping improved or the sales died down enough that shipping only takes a few weeks?
UK order, by the way.

Since a lot of us have shared the experience of waiting for our Rifts to arrive, how about sharing our first impressions as well?

Once your Oculus Arrives, just post how you got on with setting it up, how it handled, what you game/demo you tried first and anything else related!

    It's still being sent, even as late as 10:35. Perhaps I will get mine tomorrow afterall! :o :o :o

    if they can keep going for 5 hours I'll probably get mine by tomorrow too, im up in Edinburgh btw

    I don't know, I mean, Mine went from London to Tamworth, which is actually north of where I am. So since its overshot me, perhaps they will keep going all the way to Edinburgh

    I spoke to a rep at Ups on live chat as I'm in Essex, at the time the van was in barking so thought mine could be delivered sooner, but they told me it would definitely be Monday not before :(

    Guess that makes sense, since its schedualed, they wouldnt even pick it up in the morning if its not planned for the day..
    Still, knowing its just 45 minutes drive yet i have to wait 60 hours.. :cry:

    Same here, Im scheduled for monday. Im in Canada. What a looooong week end this will be. :|

    My gf think Im crazy. I tried to explain the thing to her but she don't care....yep, another long week-end.

    Haha. My girlfriend finds it hard to understand my excitement, too.

    You know that feeling when you order Pizza or something, and every little noise outside causes you to run at the window expecting to see the delivery vehicle? That's how this feels, except it doesn't last just half an hour :(


    I'm just trying to set up games so they're ready for when it actually comes to pass the time :lol:

    Mine is literally 20 mins down the road or was checked in there at 5:18am this morning but the rep from Ups told me it would still be delivered Monday how frustrating :x
