My CV1 feels left out!

Watch Sebastian's video above, he found less glare in Index than CV1.
So main arguments for Rift-S seem to be price and the exclusive games, while Index seems better - in general - at everything else.

But do you think he's mistaken?  ;) Going from Rift-S to Reverb to Index may result in such conclusion, lol

I have seen a pattern with the Index coverage,

Hype, something bad is reported, Morgrum turns up with one post (surprisingly not a picture of a hamburger this time) , good reviews, bad reviews, good reviews, summary by reviewers its a good headset, expensive price with some glare. :)

Leaves me in a bit of a position now, I know its probably the best headset at the moment overall for me but the report the FOV increase is more vertical than horizontal made me sigh. I doubt being sold by Steam only I am unlikely to get to try one out in the UK.

I'm personally letting the dust settle after seeing poor Techy going through the mill with the Reverb.

I was about to say the same thing. Every VR headset this bloke gets it's amazing amazing and amazing. I bet if you gave him Google cardboard he would say that was an amazing VR headset too. Does he get these headsets for free or something, because I'd be inclined to say they were all amazing if I got them for free.

Would you like me to post more?
My statement stands every new headset that comes out gets praised by certain posters as the death of Oculus.
And the reviews come in lackluster so they jump to the next hyped product.
I dont need to post a hamburger.
Maybe a glass half full. Hmmmmmmmmmm.
WAAAGH!

Yes a half full glass may be appropriate in this circumstance as it sums up every headset launched this year :)

You may want to take the pessimistic approach every time and you are probably justified to do so, as presently nobody is delivering everything we want yet. However some of us are hopeful someone will eventually release something close enough.

Not sure Oculus needs a killer when it comes to PC VR. They threw themselves on their own sword. They are no longer the King to topple from the throne. In fact there is no King at the moment. If they had proceeded with half dome, I would have no doubt it would have kicked Index's arse.

In my opinion the Index blows the Rift S away in nearly all areas (hardware wise) but then again that's not hard.  I'm not even considering a Rift S as its in the entry level league. However is the Index worth a 1000 pounds if the FOV is not that bigger jump to me.

Plus like the Rift S, Reverb and now Index quality issues are being reported from the first batch. No manufacturer is coming up smelling of roses at the moment.
