And some semi-sexy shots, it's Saturday  ;)

If the woman has more hair on her body (unless it's her head) than I do then it's a massive pass when it comes to "sexy shots". Let her be good at what she does without bringing sexy into it okay?

Of course, what I intended to say was that I think she looks great wearing the Index  ;)

@RuneSR2 - Does the Valve index look much better then the Rift S display? I found when I had the Rift S and compared it to Oculus CV1, the only difference I saw was clearer text and no godrays in the Rift S. Apart from that everything looked pretty much the same as Oculus CV1. Everything still looked blurred on Rift S at distance like on the CV1. So what do you reckon? Does index look much better then Rift S?
The main thing I'm looking for is a good clear view and that's why I'm thinking of getting the HP Reverb.

One dude asked nearly the same question on Index Reddit and got this reply:

I've owned a rift s for roughly a month before making the transition over to Index. Well actually two months because I took my first unit back since it was experiencing weird issues with not loading games and not being able to run without having to restart the whole windows before I could play sometimes.

Huge difference to me. I'm on the enthusiast end of the spectrum however, so most people aren't as picky as me when it comes to my tech. I will try and give you a quick breakdown of some highlights.

Immediately noticable to me was the overall quality increase as soon as I picked up the HMD and controllers. After dialing it into my head I really appreciated the amount of adjustability the index had over the rift s. As soon as I fired up Steam VR, I immediately noticed the POV increase and that for me was huge. It brought the immersion to a higher level, and I knew at that point I made the right decision to upgrade. I felt as though the rift s gave you the feeling of looking out a toilet paper roll sorta speak. While the index was much wider all around.

Next was the quality jump and boy it's really helpful to be able to see the details more clearly and read text from afar even. After that I checked out the audio which completely blew me away when I cranked it up in my games. Beat saber cranked up in the index made my hairs on my arms stand up and gave me the goosies. Lastly the knuckles controllers are second to none, once you get used to them, you will never want to go back to having to hold a controller again in VR.

As far as tracking, I have had zero issues with the index. I even tried to put my hands in awkward poses behind my back and it tracks perfect. Also the index just works whenever I want to use it, and powers down nicely and is ready for another use without having to restart my PC. Rift s used to fuck up whenever I would even run the HMD without a light on in my room, it would freak out and cause another reboot.

Overall, I can really appreciate the upgrade and feel it's worth it 100%. Even at the cost of admission $1000, it completely blows the rift s out of the water. If you are like me and can appreciate the finer things in life and it's something you would use on a regular basis then it's a no brainer.

Plus, once you play it for a year or two or till you upgrade again, you can sell it and get half your money back if you take care of the setup. That way you are only out roughly $500 at the end of the day.

@RuneSR2 - Thank you for linking me to the post comparing Rift S and Valve index. I'm going to wait and see what Oculus has to say about Pc -VR this month and if they say nothing then it's an easy decision for me. I will then look at the HP Reverb, HTC Cosmos and Valve index. I'm not sure which one of these I will purchase yet because I need to see the HTC Cosmos reviews first.

@redrizla, whatever you are smoking is either a) taking all your money or  b) making you completely indecisive.  Switch to blue rizlas or silver-slims mate.

 :D

Your dilly dallying simply means you're missing out. We live in an age of easy product returns if something isn't to your liking when purchased online. I suggest you use that to your advantage. If you want my opinion then just buy an Index and be done with it.

I remember returning the Rift S to Argos and having a massive problem with the guy serving me. He told me I couldn't refund the Rift S because it had being used. I did get my money in the end because their was a queue of people and I gave  him a lecture about my rights. Basically had to end up showing him up in-front of everybody and making a scene in the store, which I felt a bit embarrassed about. I should have just said it was faulty though instead of just saying I didn't want it :D

Mate don't go for inside/out tracking again. No matter how many cameras they stick on it...forget that.

And no matter how nicely they gloss it up with amazing features, you're going to run into trouble.

From the reviews the Reverb has a sexy screen but I wouldn't go near it because of the hand controllers, they don't look good to me.

The Index will be a big chance going from Rift to Index and you get those sexy knuckle controllers too.

The Index is the obvious choice for me.

Index or wait for CV2 - But we don't know if CV2 is coming any time soon. I still feel confident CV2 will come and when it does it will wipe the competition from the face of the earth! lol. I still have faith in Oculus despite all the Rift S madness.

I'm going to buy Index and then when CV2 comes out I'll buy that too. I'm only interested in the best of the best. I can't wait to try 122hz and 144hz and also to have the extra FOV.

EDIT: I think we should vote with our wallet and and show Oculus that insight tracking sucks!

I really hope they don't use Insight tracking for CV2, if they do I will literally scream out in pain!
