Share some of your favorite songs, artists, ideas, creations, etc.

Here's mine...

I'm a huge fan of The Metal but I think I'll start with some of my legendary, less angry, favorites.

Probably my favorite band of all time across all genres is Primus. I've seen them live twice, and I've seen Les Claypool live in his solo act once.

It all started with "Jerry was a Race car driver"

For those who don't know Les, fun fact: he once audition for Metallica and they denied him based solely on the fact that he is far too damn good for them.

I've seen tons of bands live (Slayer, Megadeth, Sepultura, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, Korn, System of a Down, Pantera, Slipknot, Lamb of God - to name a few). But Primus is the band that showed me first hand the largest mosh pit I've ever seen, and it was to this mighty cute song:

A few thousand people went ape shit at the 1:37 mark.

I hold in high regard just about everything Claypool releases; if I had to pick a favorite song it is simply, Here Come The Bastards

What the hell. I made the thread an announcement (at least for a bit). Might be a nice break from all the shipping/processing stress.

@Cybereality: Hey thanks, nice tracks man. I was just listening to Proem last night; that's a good album. Feel free to pm me any other electronic artists in the future. I use to dj/produce some, when I was younger too.

Keep'em coming guys. I've been AirPlaying these things to my stereo tonight.  :)

@AQfumes some of what you shared reminded me of the Avalanches. I love them...

Interestingly, this song is about a crazy kid named Dexter. But this was before the show/novel.

Ok, considering all the raging going on about getting something on the 6th, I should post this video instead.
This is a song from many years ago by the Sydney group Chakradiva. Very old and very crap computer graphics, but if any one song could be my official theme song to sum up my attitude to life, I would want this to be it. (I'm not there yet, but it's something I aspire to).
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUyy-OrqJ9w
    "See no point in overtaking
In the race but we're not racing
Seen the finish, it's taking all night
    I just like to ride
    No need to move aside
What have I got against the other guy?
    I just like to drive"

Plus their bouncy rabbit car is awesome! (But could be rather sickening in VR)

Another inspirational song that's always stuck with me and is also car themed: Whoever You Are by Geggy Tah.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jSOQBcz9hc

I'll finish the car theme with the complete polar opposite of Chakradiva's Drive: the Yellow Line theme and race from the movie Redline. The whole soundtrack is great, but this one just has so much energy!

    Great choice @AQfumes

I listened to a lot of Death Angel back in the day. Had a few of their albums on cassette! In particular was the Album, "Act III." I listened to that start to finish hundreds of time in my early teens.
