Yeah, most of my anime days seem behind me as a teen. Though if I find something good, then I may throw it on and grab some popcorn with the wife.
I forgot with whom I was conversing with when I mentioned knights, I should have asked if you've seen berserk (series) as that's much more suited for Skeletor. The first few seconds of that vid reminded me of toguru from yu yu hakusho, then when we actually met up with the dudes, it felt a lot more like berserk.
Ninja Scroll was awesome. Well, the movie. The TV series sucked.
Bleach had so much filler that even the characters became aware of it and sometimes complained at the end of episodes. :)
I tried to watch Knights of Sidonia, but the art style was too off putting.
Law Of Ueki was a cool Naruto/Bleach style show (rebel kid gets magic powers and has to level up). It was only 52 episodes and had no filler. Fights all lasted for less than one episode (except one or two major ones) and involved exploiting the rules and using tactics. Also some good humor. In the series, God wants to retire. So he has a tournament to choose which heavenly being will take his place. Each being can grant one magic power to a single human of their choice, who will fight for them in the tournament. One heavenly being gives the power to turn trash into trees to Ueki (a high school kid). He now has to use that ability to fight for his life against people with crazy powers.
Katanagatari is pretty epic. I love the art style, there's humor and great action. No filler, there's 12 magic swords to collect and it's only 12 episodes long (one per episode). Each episode is over 40min long and they came out once per month for a year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nocsfRZxt3M
Another good one in the rebel kid with magic powers category is Ao No Exorcist. A 15 year old boy discovers that he is really the son of satan, with all the demonic power that implies. But he wants to be a hero. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayLq7BKjQZU A new series of Ao No Exorcist is starting in 5 weeks!

Never one to ugly enough to reevaluate just watching the last 2 episodes of season 2 of z nation. They are the best in season by far. If they has all been like this I would not have moaned
Fiat Coupe, gone. 350Z gone. Dirty nappies, no sleep & practical transport incoming. Thank goodness for VR :)
I'm also a sucker for Ghost in the Shell (not VR but still cool). Arise is very good (but get the Blu-Ray, the version on Amazon streaming is abridged and re-ordered and kind of butchered).
And the latest GITS movie was also decent, though not quite as good as the older material. If you are new to GITS, you can start with Arise first (as it's a reboot, not the same story as the original movie and TV series) and the New Movie is in the same arch as Arise. However, the anime TV series (Stand Alone Complex) is probably still the best.
