Question

What do you think about the Facebook privacy breach recently ? - off topic.

Meh, its not like the NSA doesnt already copy your details. Also, Mark looks good, maybe a little too much plastic surgery.

It was smart for Zuckerberg to avoid giving a definition of 'hate speech' to a panel of technically inept nubs who thought that Facebook and Twitter are the same thing. Besides, Zuckerberg didn't "waffle" about the matter, he was very strategic and as LZ pointed out, ended up explaining that when it comes to 'hate speech' (regardless of how it is defined) that AI can't determine the context alone.

Pretty straight forward answer. This entire hearing is making Zuckerberg look more and more like a Super Hero to the entire free world, and really showing how embarrassing the real "world leaders" are when it comes to intellectual prowess. Not to mention that adding Ted Cruz to the mix is like having the Pillsbury Doughboy interview Stay Puft about calorie count techniques.

Lawmakers seem confused about what Facebook does — and how to fix it

Is Facebook a monopoly? Does Mark Zuckerberg think it has a liberal bias? Why am I suddenly seeing chocolate ads all over Facebook? Do I have as many friends as I think I do? Is Facebook spying on the emails I send via WhatsApp?

Is Twitter Facebook? Senators grill Mark Zuckerberg, Internet roasts senators

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., in grilling Zuckerberg on if Facebook has a monopoly, equated Facebook and Twitter asking, "Is Twitter the same as what you do?"

Or maybe it will even edit your words ...  making you sound like you said something you didn’t.

The human mods (or at least one of them) on the Eagle Dynamics/DCS World forum already do that - one of the main reasons I don't go there any more. And they don't even tell you that they have changed your post, which didn't break any regs, just to make their product sound better. ED are Russian, and they have a different culture, so I can give them a little slack, but the mod in question is British - so afaic, well, if I said what I am thinking of that guy I would probably get a ban.

And you pretty much nailed the solution: Just don't go to that forum.

If people are worried or concerned about Facebook, then simply don't use it. Although, those people should probably throw away all mobile devices as well.

I keep hearing people bitching about Facebook and privacy--a guy on the radio this morning was going on about the rumoured FB smart speaker and how he would never trust it. Meanwhile, he raves about his Google one. REALLY!!?? You think Google is any better about privacy? They track every goddamn thing you do on the internet!

Christ! If you don't want Facebook to have all your data, DON'T PUT ALL YOUR DATA ON FACEBOOK!!!

I prefer images that come from articles talking about the "Zuckerberg Stare." Where he look at you a certain way when you've gone full derp, and he's stare destroys your soul.

You actually said something funny for once Zenbane lol..

I thought the Zuckenator defined hate speech as terrorism.
I just love how the government started caring about its citizens privacy.. LOL as IF !!! Meanwhile tax payers are footing the bill for more data storage centres for the NSA.. LOL this is too ridiculous.
I almost feel like Russia treats their citizens better.

    Really?

1 day ago ... A new survey published by Harvard Kennedy School's Institute of Politics revealed that only four percent of millennials trust Facebook.
