hopefully this is just taking things to the extreme and will never actually be a thing.....   because if not then George Orwell was right, its 1984 but just come 35
years later than planned.



I have no problem (ok i do have a problem but i have accepted it) with my data not being as private as i would like.... but potentially fishing through it then punishing me for it, despite it being private between consenting adults?

    Lol I know..... Tbh I get the feeling you don't get offended you just like the banter (I hope I am reading you right) which is why I used you and snowdog as my example . But my point stands IF the person I am chatting with online in a "private" chat is offended and wants me moderated then fine but if it is a 3rd party sniffing around my posts they can piss off imo.

    Don't go near the DCS forums, then. You get banned just for thinking something they don't like!

    ive already had my gamerscore reset from 240k, nothing can really phase me after that

    @Brixmis Do you tho? I don't post there but I doubt they read PM's and what not and would not look into something unless someone in a PM complained. Posting toxic crap on an open forum is different tho and not what I am getting at. Going back to OP it seems MS are reserving the right (even if they don't exercise it) to snoop on an change  3rd parties comments that are not public which is worse than what Facebook did (assuming g I underatand it correctly)

    That's why I use slack for business stuff and a private discord for friends and family. MS really is grinding my gears lately. New Skype redesign is complete garbage.

    You just have to agree with what people say on that forum even if you disagree. That's the only way to avoid a ban there, it has got a bit better though, I dared myself to disagree about something and am currently still able to login.

    That's the whole problem in a microcosm.  Nobody's willing to slug it out in the center of the ring anymore.  Too much isolation to avoid being offended or upset.
