What was your favorite VR Holiday gift?

I'm curious as to how many folks received a Holiday Gift specific to Virtual Reality. Whether a piece of Hardware or Software.

For me it was the GelPro Elite Floor Mat:

I stood on this for an hour straight playing through the Single Player campaign of The Unspoken; the difference was impressive. Having been on my feet in VR for many long hours beginning back in April of 2016, I can say that having a high-end stress-relief floor mat feels awesome. There are plenty of other great mat's out there, and I highly recommend any of them to anyone who spends a great deal of time with Standing Experiences in VR.

Anyone else get any fun/cool VR gifts?

It's not that!

The sound obvs comes out of the speakers

BUT

the positional audio is set to how it would be with oculus, so the front speakers always produce the sounds from your forward perspective. If you were facing 180 degrees away from forward, the 'forward' sounds come for the forward speakers despite you facing backwards.... if that made even the most basic sense.

Totally not an issue in games like Elite, PCs2, AC where the cockpit always faces forward but for games where you teleport or move, its an issue.

BUT BUT BUT

I only really play ED and AC. So jokes on you FB ;p

Seriously... ED and AC and PC2 are so good in VR, especially with surround, my 5.1 was without question, my fav gift BY FAR! :)

First of all my best gift was what I got for myself 13th of december:

However I told my sisters twins that I got it from my petrats and cats as they offcourse still love the illusion of santa being real ( she is btw! ). Also it keeps them from thinking that I should buy them similar gifts though they are only 7 years old.

Second and most importantly, the best gift was a box from a pair of knickers I got for christmas. It fits the rift perfectly and keeps dust and sunlight ( wish we had any these days in denmark ) away from my new baby.

I probably have a hundred other boxes around that would have fit for the exact same purpose, but a christmas gift to match another christmas gift is just a bliss to me.

That's a damned good idea with the box - my Rift has definitely been neglected. Cheeky little 1080 in the background too - nice.

Haha ... Petrats are honestly the best companions I have ever had in my life.
An xgf of mine had some. I was like wtf at first, getting to know them, I was sold.
They are as clever as dogs and will come when called by name. They can be tought tricks as well, and by all means they are the most social beings I have ever come across.
Only bad thing is that their lifespan is only around 3years.
