Why do people not want to show their faces with a profile photo?

Hi everyone,

Just wondered why majority of people here don't want to show their faces to communicate.
Why is this?

    Lol - I joined two or so years ago but didn’t get my Rift and start posting until this January. So still fairly new - but everyone is very friendly here, and lots of good discussion about VR to be found.

    Pretty much - well outside of work and my music, my hobby time is pretty much dedicated to VR at this point.

    It's the internet.  99% of what goes on is total borrocks.

    The other 1% i can't be sure of, because like i said, it's the internet.

    Dear Hiro_Protag0nist,

    Yes, Saffieyah is my name and no this photo did not come from Instagram as I never use that sight anyway.  Its my real photo.  If only we had an app to check for real photo's, for example what pixel it is, what date and time it was taken and by which tool then that would be great.

    I do not think the gender thing really is that important, most here are adult and can figure things out anyway. This forums always been about passionate VR first

    Also most people here are on each others friends list in Oculus Home, you can see who is who and their real names ::smile:

    Errrrm...

    But i'm not really that interested in what people look like.

    I'll shoot them through the heart in Dead n Buried no matter what they look like and i'll talk to them on here even if they think they're a grumpy cat.
