Adult Meta account disabled after missed age verification — no appeal option

My adult Meta account was suspended after Meta detected that a child under 13 was using my Quest. I received an email asking me to confirm my age by June 5, but unfortunately I missed that email and did not complete the verification before the deadline.

The account has now been disabled. I am the adult owner of the account and the email address associated with it, and the account contains Quest apps and games that I purchased.

I found the original Meta email and tried the Confirm Age button, but it now redirects me to a page saying “We disabled your account.” That page only allows me to download my information or log out. There is no option to verify my age, appeal, or request a review.

Meta Horizon also gives me GraphQL error 3571065, directing me to auth.meta.com to take action on the account, but auth.meta.com only displays the disabled-account page.

I also cannot contact normal Meta support because it requires me to log into the disabled account, which sends me back to the same page. I created this separate account only so I could access the Community Forums and ask for assistance.

I would like to verify my identity and age now and have my original adult Meta account and purchased Quest content restored. I understand that my grandson, who was using the headset, is below Meta’s supported age and will not use it until he meets Meta’s age requirements.

Nope. Permanent ban means exactly that. Children using adult Meta accounts is a serious violation. Meta is being sued for 18 billion dollars for not protecting children sufficiently, so don't expect them to show any sympathy.

Yes,, unfortunately the rules that have always been in place are now enforced even more strictly as a result of very costly fines, as steve_40 says the ban is permanent. Making a promise after the fact likely won't cut it.

If you want to contact them , here's an email where a human support person might talk to you. Don't expect anything but you can give it a try. I won't say good luck as it's the responsibility of the adult to keep it away from younger children. It's unfortunate that Meta have to act as legal guardian because the adult members of the family won't do it.
