Can't disable double tap enabling PTC

been tired of this every day since release, been around since oculus rift cv1, loss of functionality is how you make people never buy/trust again. If any meta people actually read this, time is ticking, for those who have any good faith left for this at least, I don't know if I do anymore.

Could you believe me if I told you the issue got WORSE?

Now the headset BOOTS UP into passthrough mode, and requires me to "click my profile" to login instead of just booting up to the home page.

Besides going backwards I've found some games stutter and glitch while playing.  I'm guessing these games are CPU and GPU intensive.  Seem the test channel isn't to see what people like as much as seeing what their updates brick. They've bricked one of my headsets and one set of controllers.  I'm wondering if this update was a test of those conditions because of removing the Navigator I have not noticed many upgrades.  JUST SAYN

According to https://developers.meta.com/horizon/feedback/vr/investigations/1389075972838336/ it the request to give us back the option to disable double tap was added to the team's backlog nearly 6 months ago or updates :( Yet new features such as setting the time of day in your home environment are being worked on, hmm.

l tell you something.

For months on end, users have been complaining that Double Tap can no longer be disabled. Still, no German Bluetooth keyboard is supported — things that could be implemented in a single day — and from your support we get absolutely nothing. No explanation, no statement, nothing. The constant interruptions caused by accidentally triggering Double Tap are extremely disruptive. You take the headset off for a moment and everything freezes. Business applications, social media — without a German keyboard with umlauts and correct character input — are simply not usable.

For me, you’ve become the absolute worst, and my initial excitement for your product has faded. I will not and cannot recommend your Quest to adults anymore. The next headset will be 100% not a Quest. Not only are essential features not being implemented, but useful functions — like disabling Double Tap for Passthrough — are removed without any comment.

This is not customer service; it reflects a “**bleep** the customer” strategy.

Looks like there is a very easy side loading tool you can use to fix all the things meta won't. You can check on GitHub for an APK by Lumince called - singularity

After rooting you can fix the annoying tap for passthrough and turn off proximity sensor, see the charging rate and other goodies. No need to wait on meta. Only issue is that Maya are trying to patch this now so check if your headset is can be rooted.
