Controller battery indicator issue after 07/09/2026 update

Hi,

I am writing to report a persistent issue with my headset's controller status indicators.

The problem began after installing the v2.5 update on 07/09/2026. Since then, the headset no longer displays the correct battery status for the controllers and no longer warns when the controller batteries are low. The "Quick control" menu incorrectly shows both batteries at 100% at all times. Additionally, the three green dots on the controllers do not light up when the headset is turned on.

I have since updated the OS to version 2.6, but the issue remains unresolved.

Could you please advise on how to fix this?

Advance thanks for your help.

I'm not seeing this issue on either v2.5 or v2.6. It looks like you and possibly some others have a similar bug. The advice would be to report this  through the bug reporting tool on your headset. Another possible fix may be to connect your headset to your pc and run the Meta software update tool which can repair a janky download. It's possibly an error in your v2.5 update that carried over to v2.6.  If that doesn't work you could try a factory reset.
