Headset freezes with jagged edges 2-3mins after connecting to a PC game

I get this in MSFS2024, XPlane, and when I tried to start a steam game(Eurotruck, it froze on the steam game app while loading the game).

Every time now. Originally I had about four 1hour flights OK with this happening only occasionally.

Win11 Ryzen 7 9800x3D, RTX 5080 64Gb RAM

Official Meta Link cable and cheaper INIU cable

Image freezes in the headset, but the PC is still active (in VR mode)

Escape native game in headset, no issue.

Tried reset Quest 3 headset to factory. re-install Meta Horizon Link. All Drivers uptodate(I believe) and headset software.

That issue is usually caused by the GPU driver, which needs to be downgraded.

It can also be caused by changed Link settings. After every Link PC app update, you should revise the settings in Oculus Debug Tool in case they have been changed by the update.

Thanks where do I get the Oculus debug Tool?

    Edit: Got it

Open Task Manager, go to the Services tab, then open Services, find the Oculus VR Runtime Service option and set it to Automatic Delayed Startup. This solved the problem for me.👽

Dear Meta Support, I've been (there so many people also) struggling with this error since February. The latest working Nvidia driver is 591.86 and all the drivers came after that are breaking the link if you are on cable. No problems if you are on virtual desktop.

I've tried everything in forums like mainboard PCI slot  (GPU) settings changing to Gen4 , tried every different thing with Oculus Debug Tool, re-installing oculus and Nvidia drivers (clean install) etc. But nothing worked. Only working thing is installing Nvidia driver 591.86 but THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT WAY IN THE YEAR 2026 !!! we were doing such things 25-30 years ago but guys (META) , what is wrong with you ? Are you there ? It's been 8 months and there is no working solution from your side ? All you have to do is working with Nvidia, or Microsoft etc. and understanding the cause.

You have a product that is not working properly, please understand it first. 2 days ago Nvidia launched DLSS5 with driver 616.64 but we are not able to use this new tech because of a cable link error. I have a nice setup with 890 chipset mainboard & Intel U 270k Plus CPU - 128gb RAM - MSI RTX 5070 Ti with 16 gb RAM which able to run every game with high settings but still have to downgrade graphics drivers. That should not be the option !

Dude, don't hijack other people's threads.

Also, there are no Meta staff here, only users like yourself.
