Question

I can't install Meta Horizon Link on my Windows 11 Pc

At this point I’m honestly going crazy trying to figure it out.

I have a Meta Quest 3S, and the Meta Horizon Link installer I’m trying to install from the setup file on my PC is version 1.115.0.0. The installer closes a few seconds after I click “Install.”

Event Viewer shows:

System.UnauthorizedAccessException

Dawn.DawnSession.InitialiseDownloadCache

and afterwards:

KERNELBASE.dll / 0xe0434352

I’ve already tried running the installer as administrator, clearing temporary files, temporarily disabling Windows Defender, trying from another administrator account, and several other troubleshooting steps.

I even completely reset Windows using Cloud Download, but the problem still occurs on a clean Windows installation.

I also tried the workaround of adding:

C:\Program Files\Meta Horizon\Support\oculus-librarian

to the system PATH, but that didn’t work either.

Does anyone have any idea what else I could try?

.NET Framework is corrupted or out of date.
