Inquiry Regarding Age Verification and Payment Method Error
Hello,
I am operating an educational program for students at an institution in Korea using Meta Quest devices.
We currently manage approximately 90 Meta Quest devices, and our program is mainly for students aged 13 and older.
Recently, some devices or accounts have started showing prompts requiring age verification through a credit card or ID verification.
At first, we were able to resolve the issue by completing verification with a credit card. However, at some point, the verification process started showing the message “Unable to save payment method”, and we have not been able to complete the verification since then.
As a result, normal use is being restricted on multiple devices, which is causing disruptions to our educational operations.
I would like to ask the following:
1. What is the recommended account and device management method for an educational institution in Korea that operates multiple Meta Quest devices for students aged 13 and older?
2. What causes the “Unable to save payment method” error during credit card verification, and how can we resolve it?
3. Is there any restriction on using the same credit card or the same administrator account to complete age verification for multiple student-use devices?
4. If an educational institution manages approximately 90 devices, is there an institutional device management method or a separate support process instead of using individual accounts?
5. Are there any alternative verification methods or exception procedures available for educational institutions, other than ID verification?
This issue is directly affecting our classes and student experience programs, so I would appreciate your prompt guidance.
If needed, I can provide additional information such as the number of devices, account details, screenshots of the error message, payment method information, and the approximate date when the issue first started occurring.
Thank you.
