Question

ISO27001 Certification

Hello, I was sent here by support to check the forums with no luck, which was not helpful.

I work for a public health sector service where we use the Quest 2 headsets for teaching education, our IT team requires a Meta ISO27001 certification to keep on records to say that Meta have protection in place from cyber security threats. If someone could please help it would be great, it has to be some kind of digital proof. I am happy to provide more information if required.

My friend, I don't know why they are sending you here, probably just to fob you off. There are no Meta employees here and no Meta staff monitor this forum. It is purely a user forum so unfortunately we cannot help with certification.

However, here is a link to some options to talk to a human Meta Support person directly rather than an AI.

I hope you can find some help here. I suggest trying the WhatsApp method first. Good luck and I hope you get your certification.

    Hi esht.simulationteam 🙂

    Google says this:

Meta’s backend cloud services—specifically Meta Horizon Managed Services and Meta Horizon for Work—hold ISO 27001 and ISO 27018 certifications. However, the physical Meta Quest headsets and the consumer platform are not ISO 27001 certified. Compliance covers Meta’s data protection management program rather than the device itself.

If their headsets are already set up for an organization, they have access to the service until 2030.

If their headsets are set up as customer devices, they can't get that certificat anyways🤷‍♀️
