Hey everyone! I just got an update from our internal team and it looks like with versions 60 and onward we'll start to see even more improvements to this.

If you continue to run into this, I'd recommend making sure you're on the latest version by going to your System settings and checking the Software Updates section. Along with that, I would suggest submitting a bug report that'll send any necessary information over to our engineers for them to look into.

When ever u get on VR CHAT  30 sec. Later send me home and says not enough storage I have plenty enough storage  and it's literally the most temperamental charge port ever been like that the couple days and it stayed in KY closet in the box for almost a month  HELP

Does it say not enough storage or not enough memory? If it's the latter it's caused by a recent firmware change that hasn't been fixed yet. If the former, you need to uninstall something to clear out some storage space.

Whenever I try to play gorilla tag it says low memory and that I don't have enough memory to play Gorilla tag and when I check my storage it still had 101.?? Storage left

    Storage is not the same thing as memory. A recent firmware seems to be using more system memory, leaving too little for some of the more memory-hungry games. The fix will have to come from the game developers and / or Meta in a new firmware, sadly.

    My game crashes and says as a notification that blade and sorcery cant run cause of low memory. This only happens on the 3 star dungeon and has happened once at the end of a second star dungeon. Sandbox works fine typically and even with mods it works fine. 

    I have 15.5gb free so the storage is not the issue. I have also unistalled the game and reinstalled it, yet the issue is still there.

    Is this me or is it in need of a fix?

    We would like to point you in the right direction. By contacting the game's developers to determine what is causing these issues. We'll leave the link here for you to be able to reach out to them.

    There is a low memory bug on Quest 2 on the latest update, may have to do with Android 12 and the available RAM. Our metaverse suddenly doesn't load the main scene but loads other less memory intensive ones. Please fix this ASAP as our metaverse is currently broken and only works on Quest Pro. Many people are having the same issues with store apps like VRChat and even Horizons and they didn't before.

      I keep experiencing the Quest crashing when I go into the lobby playing Population One. I get a message saying that there isn't enough memory to support the game, however I have only used half of the storage available. I have turned off and then the back up data option. Please 🙏 help.

        Hey there, GhostPopper! We couldn't help but notice that you are experiencing some issues when trying to play POPULATION: ONE. We certainly understand how disappointing something like that can be and how it can really effect your overall experience, so we'd like to help you get this issue sorted out as quickly as possible! So that we may gain a little clarity on our end, we'd like to ask you a few questions:

         

        • How long has this issue been occurring?
        • Is this the only game that you are having this issue with?

        Also, we'd like for you to check your exact storage space just to ensure that you do have enough space left on your headset. 

         

        To check how much space is left on your Meta Quest headset:

         

        1. Put on your headset.
        2. Select from the bottom toolbar menu.
        3. Select Storage.

        To check how much space is needed to download content from the Meta Quest Store:

         

        1. Open the Meta Quest mobile app on your phone.
        2. Tap Store.
        3. Find and tap on the content that you'd like to download to your headset.
        4. Scroll down to the Additional Details section to find the amount of space that's needed to download the app.

        If it turns out that there is limited storage available, you can increase the amount of available space on your Meta Quest headset by uninstalling apps from your library. Please let us know if this helps to resolve your issue. We will be standing by just in case further assistance is needed!

        You don't have heaps of memory, you have heaps of storage. Different things. A recent firmware update has screwed up memory usage for some games. All you can do is wait for Meta to acknowledge and fix the issue.

        Hey there, @HardcoreGreengamer. We can definitely understand how concerning this memory issue is, and how it can take out of your VR experience. We'd recommend trying out a factory reset to see how that turns out. Before doing this, ensure that your cloud backup settings are enabled. Once that's enabled, follow the steps below: 

        From the Headset:
         

        • Power off the headset.
        • Press and hold volume down & Power.
        • This will boot into the USB Update Mode menu.
        • Press volume button to move selection, press power button to make the selection.
        • Navigate to Factory Reset and press the Power button.
        • The device should now begin the Factory Reset process.

        Let us know how it turns out!

        Hey hey everyone! I know that a lot of you have been experiencing this error where your headset says you don't have enough memory when trying to open various apps. While we don't currently have a solution, I am happy to let you all know that our engineers are aware and are working on a fix!

         

        In the meantime, we have seen some users have success with the following troubleshooting steps:

        If these steps don't work for you, I would also recommend submitting a bug report so that our engineers can continue doing their job and getting this fixed!

         

        We all really appreciate everyone's patience and understanding while this issue gets resolved. Us moderators will make sure to keep this thread updated as soon as we hear any updates from the team!

         

        [Edit - 8/28] (TheAntiSocializer) - We haven't forgotten about you guys, they're still looking into things and I'll be checking in consistently. Thank you for the patience!

        [Edit 9/13] (TheAntiSocializer) - I got in touch with them and previously, they had released a fix that initially seemed like it did the trick, but after further results/testing it seems that the issue is still ongoing for some people. They are currently working to determine the cause of it and push for another fix.

        [Edit 10/18] (TheAntiSocializer) - I'm still currently in contact with the team. Unfortunately, there aren't any updates I'm able to provide. I'll be checking in consistently!

        [Edit 10/25] (TheAntiSocializer) - Nothing yet but they are still currently looking into this.

          I’ve been having similar problems with my Quest and I’ve check my storage and still have over 80GBs of space remaining. I only play Into the Radius and it’s not allowing me to play it due to this error.

          This happened to me during VR chat. It Kept closing the app due to low Memory Even though I had a lot of memory left. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. I Tried clearing space just In case but it still didn't work.
