Loud pop then ear ringing

(this is a meta quest 2, old from 2023 when I bought it) I was playing gorilla tag, I entered city, and I was playing as usual, Buying cosmetics, and I was at the mirror, and someone had a purple bubble around themselves. So I hit them with my banana sword, they hit back with their fist, and I heard a pop. A loud, 100% volume (had my quest volume at like 50% volume) low pop. Then a loud loud ear ringing. That wasn’t coming from my ears. I thought he was making the noise so I said “what happened?”…well I turned off my headset, heard another pop and it stopped obviously. What happened?
