Meta Quest 2 head set will not turn on

I just received my Meta Quest 2 yesterday. I am in the process of setting it up. Now I am being prompted for a 5 digit code. I am to look into my headset, but it won't turn on? I am a serious newbie to this technology. Your assistance will be so appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you, Choleni! I am such a newbie at this...I didn't have the device plugged in all the way! The headset is fully charged and I am set up. Thanks again!

    choleni when I put it in the charger it just turns red and black repeatedly and I can’t turn it on what’s so ever and it’s been left in the charger for about 2 days please help me

    Red blinking means the battery is deeply drained.

    Do you use the original charger?

    Have you tried a different cable?

    If your charger and cable is ok, you can try blip charging...... you might have to do that for an hour or so until the light turns orange.

    Read the first comment from the link below, it explains what you must do.

    If this also doesn't work, your charging port or the battery is maybe defective, both can be replaced.

    Look for a repair service like Fix my Oculus - if you are in the US - or google for a vr headset repair service in your country.

    I don't know, if your headset has still warranty..... if that's the case, contact Meta support via email, chat or WhatsApp HERE
