I received the Meta Quest 3 headset on October 12th.
Launched, updated the software.
And I started playing games while connected via Oculus Link to my laptop.
On October 12, 13, everything was just great. Half Life Alyx has a fantastic level of graphics, a stable frame rate, there was not a single glitch.
This morning I picked up the helmet again and noticed that the image quality had become terrible. Even in the lobby menu, it's terrible.
There is no clarity of the image, the effect of a ladder and ripples is especially noticeable on the lines.
I launched the same Half Life ALyx, and it was a terrible soap. Worse than in Quest 2.
Also, while playing Blade and Sorcery, I noticed that the frame rate dropped. Although in the settings it is worth "raising the frame rate to 120 so that where possible".
Changing the settings of the frame rate, screen resolution in the Meta-application did not give results.
Resetting to factory settings via the Meta application also did not give results.
Resetting to factory settings by pressing the off key and adjusting the volume on the helmet then also did not give results, the image is still of poor quality.
The lenses are clean, there are no stains.
I attach 2 screenshots, but I can assure you that the quality in the screenshots is better than what I actually see.
In fact, the reflection in the mirror and the palm tree look much worse than in the screenshots, they are very blurred and pixelated.
THIS IS NOT A SOLUTION - MARKING ONLY FOR VISABILITY
Hey everyone! I wanted to pop by on this thread about the graphics quality of the Quest 3 devices. I completely get wanting to get a clear view of what you're seeing on your headset. I recommend reporting this issue so that our engineers can be able to look into it further. The more information from other users, the better they'll be able to determine how to fix this issue.
Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The force shall free me.
Salve io ho lo stesso problema e non capisco come dovrei vedere la home . Da quando mi e arrivato non vedo per niente nitido dalle fotocamere anzi spesso e sfuocato e granuloso anche gli oggetti vicini
Just adding this here for a bump as I'm having the issues described by the original post. I have tried factory reset, turning up, turning doen the setting, like refresh rate, resolution etc and still have the same issue. Is this valid cause for returning the headset? its pretty bad. Graphics are fine in steam vr games like VTOL VR, its just on the quest when playing any of the games on there, like the Batman game. I can't see what's going on in the distance because its so blurry..
Hi novanp1 Are you you the unfortunate person who received 3 headsets from 3 different countries that all had the same aliasing effects? You know I was just thinking how small the chances are of that happening, and I was thinking maybe you should buy a lottery ticket as it has a better chance of winning than what happened to you !! I hope you get this fixed soon. If it wasn't you disregard this.😁
It's not funny, as I said earlier, it's from 3 different countries, BUT it's from the same UNofficial reseller Quest, which has a lot of negative reviews due to defective goods and failure to fulfill its warranty obligations, moreover, I saw on similar reseller sites in my country (Ukraine), reviews that their image also looks crap
Moreover, the 512GB version that I have, according to reviews on the Internet, is SIGNIFICANTLY more often defective than the 128 version, and judging by all these factors, I really think that it is defective
I also tested the Oculus Rift S 1 year ago and did not notice similar problems there
