Meta Quest update button not doing anything after PTC V66

Im on ptc v66 and I got the update for the official rollout of v66. When I click update the download progress pops up for a second and goes away. The button to update is greyed out and stuck “updating…” I’ve let it sit for quite a while. Reset several times and nothing. If you leave update and go back it has the option to update now again. Resets do nothing

Woah, so this issue is something bigger, maybe with meta update servers

For anyone outside the USA: I had to sideload the update after factory resetting the Quest. First, the Update was crashing at 15% every time when trying over the German or Sweden network. It finally worked perfectly then when I used a VPN which was connected in the USA to sideload the update through the fixing tool. Maybe it works for one of you!

Maybe Meta did IP Block any client requests from outside the USA. (?) Now it works perfectly fine and I am happy with the Quest 3 so far!

i just bought it so it automatically started to update, i can't play it (updating for 2hours now) even if i reboot nothing changes. they say i need to leave it in the charger and it will make a sound. NOT... sad because i was so happy to play today

Same here, I sent my quest back two days ago because of the lost tracking problem. I received my replacement headset today and I can't get through the first headset update. It's really shameful for a company like this to sell crap hardware and software.

I got the lost tracking error in my quest 3 too, but I didn't return since I noticied it that the problem stopped for some some days after factory reset, that indicates there are a software problem a not hardware fault.
After some months, I found a way to solve the bug without factory reset as well and some time later It even didn't happened again for me.

By the way, the infinite update issue I fixed in my one by using sharing my mobile 4G internet to quest and the quest 3 was able to update after that.
