Question

My Quest 3 Is Not Booting Properly.

(Corrected, I typed the wrong year) I got my Meta Quest 3 in December of 2024 and in early 2026 I had just gotten finished with a brutal session of Blade & Sorcery Nomad, so naturally, I put my headset on the charger. A few hours later, when it was fully charged, I picked it up, and it wouldn’t work. It would turn on and only show a gray black screen, and when turned off and back on, it would show a white dot crosshair in the center of the screen. I factory reset the thing 5 times, today the 6th, and nothing. I even changed the boot slot. I took it apart recently, and cleaned it with some Q-tips and isopropyl, but it still won’t work. I noticed some deformation on the radiator though.

    So, you got your device in December 2024, and it broke in early 2025........it's now mid 2026. Why didn't you return it while it was under warranty? It's a bit late for that now but I suppose you can try a 3rd party repair service like https://www.fixmyoculus.com/

    They're in the US, so if you are somewhere else try to find a local company that can fix it.

      If i had bought my Quest in December 2024, I still would have warranty....... Germany and many European countries have two years of warranty😁

      Cr33p​ In case your warranty hasn't expired, contact Meta support via email, chat or WhatsApp HERE............ without mentioning that you took the headset apart😇

        Oh yes! I forgot about that. 😁 If Türkiye was an officially supported country, I'd have two years too. But there is still the question.. Why wait one and half years with a broken headset before asking for help? Another thing, there are small color tabs and markers inside electronic devices, they'll know immediately if it was taken apart.
