oculus quest 2 not working or charging

i just got the headset today its new i opened it set it up everything was alright i left it to charge got back to it and hour later and nothing no orange light or green light won't turn on even if i pressed the button for 3 minutes 30 minutes or 60 minutes tried the main button and the turning it on and off and its been in sitting with the charging cable for almost 8 hours nothing at all

Hey clownUWU! We know it can be so disappointing when you get something new and it doesn't work right. This definitely isn't the experience we want for you to have here, and we're ready to help!

When your headset is charging, the little status light on the side should turn on. We have a couple of things you can go ahead and try here to see if we can get your headset charging and working:

Try using a different power source, such as a different power outlet.
Try using a different charging cable.
See if you can open the boot menu on your headset:
- Hold the power and volume (-) button on the headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads
- Exit and reboot the headset
- If still unable to charge, follow these steps but select the factory reset option instead of exit and reboot.

If you are still having trouble with your headset not charging or turning on, go ahead and follow the link HERE to submit a support ticket. The Support Team there will be able to look closer into what's going on, and see what we can do to get you in VR!

I’m having the exact same problem as you every time I even connect it to a cable it just doesn’t turn on and I put it on and I see the meta quest logo for one second and it goes to the no battery logo there even isn’t any light.

Baffles me that they expect me to believe that if all else fails that factory resetting my headset will magically make the charger port work. I’m still trying to understand how you made people pay the amount of money that they paid for this device for it to have tons of glitches. There should be absolutely no reason why a device that cost me almost $600 is now no longer charging after six months of use.

I tried to plug it, connect them to different cables, change it from the outlet and try to open the menu, but none of it worked.

Have you observed any LED lights while attempting to charge the headset? Have you tried charging the headset without the facial interface, as this could also block the proximity sensor, reducing the power of the headset?
