Oculus Rift CV1 USB 3.0 Issue

I got my Oculus Rift CV1 a couple of months ago. I plugged it in and it has been, and since then, giving me issues based on USB 3.0 compatibility. I have my sensors all plugged into a USB 3.0 port and same with the headset

I recently searched up that is was an USB controller issue basically the USB 3.0 ports not being able to give enough power to the headset and the sensors. I've tried just having the headset only on the USB 3.0 ports and one sensors on a USB 3.0 port and the other on a USB 2.0 port (the black one to be exact), I've tried switching it up by having all the sensors on a USB 2.0 port to try fixing the stuttering also another issue and NOTHING has worked. I also heard that an Inateck PCI-e to USB 3.0 PCI Express Card would fix the issue but I want to try to avoid that at any possibility it takes.

I know my headset has lost support and it is a fairly new model, but I wanna be able to play my PCVR games without any issues. I will also list my specs below:

GTX 1080 Ti, AMD Ryzen 5 5600GT, AsRock B450M HDV R4.0, 32GB of DDR4 Ram, and a 850 Watt PSU (Power Supply)

I hope any of you can reach out to me to help me with my issue!

They were discontinued in 2019 🙃.

I kind of meant like my Rift CV1 is like a newer model not from day of release, because Oculus/Meta had made previous newer ones I was able to get my hands on a brand new one but it was from like 2018 or 2019 when they will still making them until they discontinued them back in 2019 somewhere around there.

If that's a fairly new model, so is this. 😁

Generally for the Rift models the biggest USB issues were:
Rift CV1 - USB bandwidth. Needing lots of USB at once (one per sensor, one for headset) was too much for some motherboard chipsets.
Rift-S - USB power. It's 5 webcams, mic, LCD, headphones and other electronics all over a single USB cable. Many motherboard chipsets don't like that.

Fixing the Rift-S was the easiest, use a powered USB hub. I had endless issues with the Rift-S when I bought it, all went away when I plugged it into a good hub (I got an Orico 12 port powered hub). Many others have had that work.

The Rift CV1 was a bit trickier. I also had issues with it on my older PC. I needed to buy PCI-E expansion cards. I got two "Vantec 2-Port USB 3.1 Gen II Type-A PCIe Host Card". They worked great. Although I think not all Vantec cards used the right controller chip, some had issues. It's been 9 years since I was talking about this stuff on this forum so I don't remember much, plus my Rift CV1 worked on all of my later PCs and laptops.

You could try a powered hub just in case that's the issue, they are pretty cheap and they are useful even if they don't fix the issue. But usually for a Rift CV1 the fix was PCI-e USB cards.

Although these days I wouldn't put it past Meta to just not have the software working well with the CV1 anymore, might not be a PC or headset issue at all. If you know someone else with a PC that you could test the headset on, that might be a good idea. I haven't tried running my CV1 for quite a few years.

Really appreciate you reaching out, I will check out the USB Hub you have to see if it will fix the issue!
