Please improve lying down mode.(stepless pitch)

As is: when lying down, and "reset view" the quest allows certain pitch angles.

When using a video playing app, like Fluid, or Moon Player, or  Skybox, or even getting the home environment (with immovable scenery/room) this "reset view" being step-wise prevents optimal placement.

To reproduce:  While lying down try to the to reset view with your face pointing 35,40,45,50,55° up.

You will find that the room only snaps to certain angles, making it harder to find optimal angle, where the main screen(s) are placed at comfortable eye height.

    Regardless, this is a user-only community forum and has not been monitored by Meta staff since all the layoffs last December. No one here can "improve lying down mode" for you 😉.

    Yes, but that's a limitation of those apps, it's their settings causing this, not Meta. Write to the app developers and tell them your problem.

    That's why OP opened the topic. If you skipped this part, OP also mentioned that the behavior happens in the Meta Home environment 👀

    Recenter is a system feature, so its behavior should be handled on the OS side.

    You can also share with us the name of an app that doesn't have this "limitation" 👀

    Ok, I stand corrected, the home environment has it's own issues, and some of the programs I mentioned works perfectly fine - being able to select any angle past about 20° up.
    Right now, I would like to rephrase it to "allow home environment reset-view to pitch it to lying angle"

      If I'm lying down and reset the view it resets correctly, as long as I have the "Use apps while lying down" Experimental setting enabled 🤷‍♂️.

      That said, there's a reason why it's "experimental".

      You can report software issues in the headset Quick Settings>Report a problem.
