Quest 2 - Software Update Required

I have had this issue trying to pair both of my Quest 2's for the last 4 days. When you click 'try again' it just loops back to this screen.

I have tried reinstalling the app (including updating the app), using an IOS phone and using an Android phone, I have even factory reset one of the devices. Still get the below message when I try to pair this device to any phone.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Cheers

Hi. Is there an update I’ve missed to the issue of the “update required “ issue? Thanks.

I’m having the same issue and so far nothing is helping. I called and they told me they were working on a repair and it should be available soon. Ug.

I will give Meta Oculus Facebook back my Quest paperweight and they can send me a brand new Oculus Quest Pro. Even if it gets fixed eventually by that time it will be obsolete. Your welcome Meta for my investment into your new device.

I'm having the same issue of "software update required" and it doesn't allow to go anywhere else. Are there any solutions to this issue?

Leo4eva Sadly not as of yet.  We suggest just holding out until there is an email sent to everyone affected with any updates,

I bought this headset off of someone else, so it is not brand new. When I turn on the headset, it shows the meta sign. I really wish we had a time frame! I picked this headset up on September 7th and have not been able to get in since! 22 days, almost 2 weeks and I haven’t heard a thing from anyone beside everyone else saying they have the same issue

I'm trying to figure out how to get back up and running myself, so thank you so much for replying.  I think our scenarios are different.  My headset was new in January 2022, it worked really well until the middle of June, that is when I started troubleshooting with support.  My warranty clock is ticking, if you have an issue with a new device within 30 days you can return it to the retailer you purchased it from - that is the happy path.  Everything after 30 days is sketch as Meta/Oculus doesn't have a clear warranty process defined.   I am on my third headset with my original controllers, I can't pair the headset to the controllers or the headset to my app to update.  When I start my headset I get the Oculus logo, which I know from when my headset was working an update changed the logo to the Meta logo, so I thought maybe you had the same experience.  My support issue has been escalated to elite support, I am not eligible for a replacement because of the 30 day thing, and I am literally off line waiting for a development bug.  I am beyond frustrated, so thank you again for replying and listening.  If I get a resolution with this headset, I will send you an update and let you know.  Please let me know if you make any progress too.
