Same here, brand new Quest 3 for Christmas and regularly getting 1-2 second blackouts and regularly getting USB port debris/liquid alerts. Latest software version installed.

• Brand new Quest 3 (Chistams gift)

Same here since a few days .. nothing changed only these black flicker occurs now. Bad how Meta react .. Reddit is full of it. Hopefully change to Pimax this year .. such things sucks 👎

Oh no Steam Frame with LCD is a show stopper. May it is better as I think but I would prefer Dream Air. Even Quest 3 is a good thing overall but such things really suck.

MetaStoreSupport seems to be aware of the issue. We should all submit detailed bug reports, so hopefully it will escalate the problem with the Meta engineers.

A temporary fix for some users is to not have the charger connected while using the headset.

Edit: it's rumored that Meta changed a server-side flag and it has fixed the problem.

I am pretty sure that its because of coruppted frimware that's why its flashing black and the game.

I'm pretty sure it's not. It only happens if I have the charger connected while playing.

Not for me, it happened to me when it was both standalone and also PCVR Virtual Desktop streaming and the headset was not charging at the time.

flick67 That is so strange. I just finished a, Synth Riders session and I'm not having any issues. Official v85 has just appeared on my Quest 3s but haven't installed it yet. Maybe it will fix your flickering.... Hopefully it won't make mine flicker 😂😂

Hello, i see now on oculus debug tool "bypass proximity sensor check " is off now by default with the new update.

This thread has gotten very quiet lately. Have your headsets stopped blinking after the v85.0.0.223.552 update? Mine seems to have, I've been playing VR games for hours with no blinking problem 🙂. I was even able to reinstall Windows Security Update KB5074109 without the performance loss in AirLink that I was experiencing earlier 🙂.

No, but I heard they secretly pushed out an hotfix - it doesn't show in the update version, and it's impossible to know if you received the fix or not. But restarting the headset multiple times & going into settings and checking for updates multiple times raises the chance of getting the update probably.

I think I received the hotfix because I didn't experience it in 1 hour last night.

What are you even talking about? OS update or Link update? I have OS updates disabled in my headset. My problem went away after two Link updates in the past 2 days, and there was nothing secret about them.

This thread can probably be marked as "solved" now. It seems the issue has been quietly fixed by Meta.

Nope! I just tried playing a round of Walkabout Mini Golf with a friend online and the headset video was blinking so fast I thought I was going to get a seizure! (not really but it was still turning off every minute or so)
