Question

Quest 3s randomly dims then goes into standby while in use

Just got my Quest 3s today and while playing with a friend, the screen randomly goes dim followed by it going into standby mode. It wasn't the game I was playing at the time as it also does this while I am on the home screen, in the settings, or in other games. I am sometimes able to stop it by wiggling the headset. Please help, I have not been able to find any mention of this happening to other people!

I don't have a Quest 3s, so I don't know, if the Q3s has other setting options than Q3 or Q2 because it has no proximity sensor. 

Anyways, try this: go to your settings - general - power - enable "automatic wake"  if it is not enabled already.

You can also increase the "display off" and "sleep mode" time and see if this helps.

    I have the Quest 3s and don't have this happening, however you should check your settings and if what I have highlighted is enabled, the screen will dim and brighten if conditions change slightly, like clouds outside changing brightness levels, a TV screen changing brightness in the room, even someone walking in front of the headset. Maybe a bug related to this could be shutting it down. Disable it if it's enabled and see if it fixes it. If it doesn't fix it, try factory resetting it.
