Quest link not working with Quest 3

I just updated my Nvidia driver to the most recent version (537.58), and now Quest link just isn't working at all. Tried uplugging and replugging the link cable, nope. Tried restarting the headset, nope. Anyone else having this problem?

    Hey everyone! The engineering and product team has reached back out to me and provided an update. 

    It looks like they won't be able to get the necessary information through here on the forums, but they did want to look into everyone's logs to get a closer look. I highly suggest testing out PTC and if that doesn't work, reaching out through a support ticket so they can gather the logs and provide some more in-depth assistance.

    I am having the same problem. I am using Airlink with Quest 3 and I already paired with my PC using the Meta Quest Link software and when I click on launch in the Quest 3, it goes to a loading screen and then come back to Quest 3 main screen. I have read all the articles about what could be wrong, I uninstalled/reinstalled the Quest Link software and restarted Quest 3, I am using Nvidia RTX 3060 and drivers are up to date. Windows is up to date. Everything is up to date but its not working

    Mine is working just for a while then it hangs. I checked ovrserver and here is what it says.

    Hey my friend, I've been having this same god **bleep** super frustrating issue! Not sure if your having the same problem as of now, 8 months late... But if you are, I was successfully able to connect with a different cable. For whatever reason, the one I was using just decided to not be compatible now. I plugged in my other cable, and it works brilliantly now. Hope this helps. If not for you but for others experiencing the same annoying issue. Take care.

      I think it's likely an issue with Meta updates on the Headset not syncing with Meta PC software right away. Meta link on PC works fine most of the time for me these days but occasionally after a Headset update the sound won't work on the headset so I have to use my PC sound, or the Meta software will indicate the Headset mic isn't working in devices section etc. but when these events happen it will usually be fine next time I use Meta link with PC.

      I am not sure if this will help anyone, but.....if you try to install your Quest3 through the link cable, make sure u r NOT plugged into the battery pack (if u have one). U have to plug directly into the headset (where the battery pack plugs into). Hope this helps someone.

      I have done the following in case it serves as a reference for someone:

      Uninstall all Meta software with Revo Uninstaller

      Restart your computer

      I reinstalled everything and I got the link to work every time I reboot, but the moment I disconnect the rear USB and reconnect it, it fails again and the link with the goggles no longer recognizes me, the computer tells me that "it can't find the goggles". The only thing left is to restart.

      I tried creating a new user account in Windows with administrator rights and in this account everything works perfectly (I connect and disconnect the USB port without problems and it always recognizes my goggles).

      My conclusion is that I have some software, and I don't know how to find out, that is interfering with the cable link.

      I've done a clean boot (removing services) but no luck. If you can think of how I can try to find out which software is interfering, I would appreciate your help.

      I finally discovered the problem, it was another software resident on my computer that interfered with the functioning of the USB recognition, specifically "Opentabletdriver"

        Same issues hear to work the mq3 via link cable. It work at the first time than it doesnt work maybe after update. After a week it work again and now it doesnt work again maybe because of the Update. Air link already work but i want to Connect via link cable. Thanks 🙂

        Absolutely! Not even factory resetting the headset works. This problem isn't just on Quest 3. I have a Quest 2, and it's not working for me either.
