Quest link not working with Quest 3

I just updated my Nvidia driver to the most recent version (537.58), and now Quest link just isn't working at all. Tried uplugging and replugging the link cable, nope. Tried restarting the headset, nope. Anyone else having this problem?

Hey everyone! The engineering and product team has reached back out to me and provided an update.

It looks like they won't be able to get the necessary information through here on the forums, but they did want to look into everyone's logs to get a closer look. I highly suggest testing out PTC and if that doesn't work, reaching out through a support ticket so they can gather the logs and provide some more in-depth assistance.

Hi there malcolm.lloyd3,

Thanks for reaching out to Meta Quest Support! We'd love to help you get to the bottom of this, so you can enjoy the PCVR experience.

First of all, please could you confirm the following?

  • Do you see any error messages when you try to use Quest Link?
  • Has Quest Link worked before for you?
  • Did you notice any changes when this problem started (e.g. device updates)?
  • What graphics card and CPU are you using?

Thank you for your cooperation! We look forward to hearing back from you.

No problems connecting to Link with either my QPro or Q3,  including update 68 and69.  Maybe try a meta link pc app Repair and/or a different usb port and/or cable.  Otherwise, contact meta support including your log file and see if they can help.  Good luck mate and cheers.

13 pages, almost 200 comments, years of complaints....zero solution.
I tried everything, luckily It worked once by cable and that's all, after that the cable link never worked again.
AirLink by Wifi still works, but cable, not chance.
Does anyone find any proper way to fix this issue?

I used the Quest3 with my older game PC without any problems. Since today, got my new Gaming PC with RTX3080 and i9. Installed the Meta Quest Link application. After logging in with my meta account I click on go to devices, add headset, select quest3 and tried both options.

When I put my headset on, I can see my computer with the right hostname. Then I click add and get a warning that I should restart the Windows quest services etc.

Then I tried on my older PC and same issue there since today. So tried both methods (link cable and WiFi) without any succes.

Any idea to debug this on both sides?

Thanks for your quick reply.

Also made a hotspot with my phone and connected my GamePc and Headset to it and then the same error appeared.

I suspect there is a different issue. I have 2 computers and both won't connect. I'm from Europe (Netherlands)

I suspect there is a different issue. Can you tell me how the pairing mechanism works? I'm an IT guy, so I can perform/record also pcaps or so if needed. I see some TCP connections estabished which are bound to the META VR runtime service are listening but I don't receive any traffic on them.
