Question

Quest pro- capable of tracking eye crossing and tongue tracking. Why a rule in place to stop this?

I feel like the quest pro would be totally worth it if it had all the features that normal face tracking headsets have. Like for example tongue, movement and eye crossing, there’s a forum going online about the fact that the quest pro is perfectly capable of tracking this, but that Meta put in a rule into the headset that block it. Why? I wanted a headset that had full face tracking and I was very excited to hear that the pro half face tracking that’s why I bought it but then I found out that it couldn’t even do tongue movement or I couldn’t move my eyes the way I can on the vive headsets. If Meta got rid of this will have blocked it, they could definitely be able to match with vive face tracking and more people would buy it. Or if they could explain why they set that rule in the first place..

steve_40 I'm curious about what he wants to do with his tongue.  😁

Tongue tracking and cross eyed tracking on the Quest Pro.

It needs a rooted Quest Pro though.

Meta did add tongue tracking to the Quest Pro 3 years ago. It only supports in and out though, not moving around while out.
