[Resolved] - Quest 3 Elite Strap with Battery only connects for a few seconds

In french (Same issue battery work one day only. 3s notif then don't appair and charge)

Même soucis que tous : l'iconne apparaît 3s "batterie supplémentaire" puis disparaît.

Pour moi, cela a fonctionné au moins les deux premières journée. Depuis la batterie n'est plus reconue. Quelle loose, j'espère que c'est logiciel mais j'y crois pas car quand le casque est etteint, la notification de charge fait pareille 3s "batterie externe puis disparaît".

I have the exact same problem. 

I’ve contacted meta support a couple of times now, and they won’t really acknowledge that this is an issue.

my last interaction they even went so far to try and tell me to request a replacement for the headset itself, which didn’t really make much sense.

I wonder if this is an issue for all of them, or we are just super unlucky.

Day two with new strap and it’s still working as intended.

what is everyone who has issues used to charge their quest strap? 

I initially used my PS5 usb-c port while on standby with my first strap. The second I’ve been using an anker 20w power brick. 

Anyone else notice this?

there is a white LED above the Meta logo in the middle of the headset. Not sure what it’s there for tbh. 

That being said, when I shut off the headset completely (press and hold power, choose shut down) without the battery strap attached, the q3 shuts off and all lights turn off. 

with the battery strap attached, when I do the same thing that middle led (NOT charging led) stays on the entire time. It drained about 5% of power from the main battery overnight. 

there is definitely something not working right with these straps. The q2 elite just worked. 

how did this pass ANY LEVEL of QC?

Add me into the list of those suffering from this problem. When connecting to the battery to the Quest 3, it sees the extended battery for about 5 seconds, then it appears to vanish.  In less than 48 hours of purchase, mine has failed.  

Momentary press of the button on the Elite Strap with Battery shows a green light, which is supposed to indicate a full charge, but it fails to charge my Quest 3.  

I have tried all of the suggestions in the post marked as a solution but I fear that my Elite Strap with Battery has become an Elite Strap with PaperWeight. 

While I am playing- if i hover over the battery life indicator it sometimes registers the battery pack and sometimes doesn’t. The battery indicators on the headset and battery were green, indicating full charge but they don’t stay connected. If I press and hold the button on the battery pack I will eventually get a notice that battery is now being supplied to the headset but it doesn’t seem to be happening for more than a few seconds.  also, why would I need to press the button to get the battery to supply power to the headset? Still fiddling with it and trying the suggestions offered on this forum but so far nothing is working. 

[Edit 10/17] - The team has provided me with this - Elite Strap with Battery shows up in VR briefly when connected to the headset. After that you must hover over the battery indicator to see the battery levels of headset and strap separately. Display shows the average. Please let me know if you're able to view the percentage correctly!

Nop : separate en average show only 3s then only Q3 battery. Not separate battery and NO CHARGING !!

Indicator or not, it not charging. It's not a popup or view in a popup.

In m'y meta account i can't do the rma, no option on this. Only on headset. How to refund this paperblock ?
