Serial number check / Device not supported error during setup

Hello, I recently tried to perform a factory reset on my Meta Quest 3 headset, but it got stuck in the USB Update Mode (bootloop). When I try to check my device options or look up support for my serial number on the website, I am met with the message: "Support isn't available for this device".

This headset was recently purchased as a gift from a major online marketplace retailer, and it came brand new in a sealed box. Could you please check the status of my headset's serial number on your end? I want to make sure the device is not blacklisted, blocked, or flagged as lost/stolen by the supplier.

Here is my device information:

Model: Meta Quest 3 (512GB)Headset Serial Number: ****

Thank you, I look forward to your response.

Hi there that is frustrating. You might see that your device and other information has been removed, this is an unsecured open public forum so never share any personal data or information here. For your device to be recognised by the system, find and use the serial number that is written on the box, not the one on the device. It's because each part of your system, headset, and the two controllers all have different serial numbers. When you enter that one, it will be recognised. For future reference keep that box number safe somewhere.

Just in case................
