Unable to switch scenery in the Loft

Hi,

I'm using the Quest 2 running 2.4.1034. I'm unable to switch scenery in the Loft, as the Switch Scenery buttons make a sound when I click on them, but don't do anything.

My environment is currently a blank cloudy area, however in the Loft settings, Horizon Central is ticked (checked). I know I definitely am not in Horizon Central, as it used to load me into that area, so I know what it looks like. There are no buildings, only mist.

I was able to download new scenes, but cannot switch to them either. I have restarted the headset, but the issue still occurs.

Please let me know if I can reset it somehow.

Thanks,

Hulio

Well I decided to bite the bullet and just do a factory reset. FYI, it's all working for me again now.

Cheers,

Hulio

I think there's a bug in the loft setup at the moment. Yesterday, I was in the Bloomhouse one and when I finished a game it got stuck trying to reload the loft. I was still able to open and close other apps and games but the loft was hanging. I reported it as a bug through the headset, you should do the same. I'm on the same software version in Quest 3s.

Hi Hulio84 πŸ™‚

My environment is currently a blank cloudy area, however in the Loft settings, Horizon Central is ticked (checked)

How do you know it's ticked if you can't open the menu?πŸ€”

Anyway, Horizon Central is going to be removed from the environments. I just selected it on my Quest 2 - same version as you - there are already chunks missing. So, it might be possible, that you have only mist leftπŸ˜‚

If you can't use your left controller - for whatever reason - use handtracking to open the menu where you can select a different environment.

Thanks folks, I will log a big report from the headset when I get the chance.

I can open the Loft menu, and the main meta menu, launch games and PC Link etc, but it's just that the Loft scenes won't load.

Guess I'll log the fault and wait for an update.

Cheers,

Hulio

sixfootqueen  You won't lose your loft. Valley, Midnight, Oceanarium and Blumhouse remains, just Horizon Central scene gets removed.

I'm not sure about the avatar mirror, it's gone on v2.5......... but maybe there is an option to place it the home like we could do that in pcvr homes? πŸ€”

Choleni I don't look at myself in the mirror, but my avatar does. I'm beginning to think he's a bit of a narcissist. 😜
