Unexpected Meta Quest+ renewal – unable to contact support without serial number

Hi,

I was recently charged about €8 (30 PLN) for an automatic renewal of my Meta Quest+ subscription.

I sold my Quest headset a long time ago and haven't used the service since. I didn't intend to renew the subscription and would like to request a refund for this latest charge.

The problem is that when I try to contact Meta Support regarding the subscription/payment, I'm asked to provide the serial number of my Quest headset. I no longer own the device, so I don't have the serial number.

Is there any way to contact the appropriate support team about a Quest+ subscription refund without having the headset or its serial number?

I would really appreciate any help or advice from a Meta moderator.

Thank you!

    Hi Artem2035PL 🙂

I was recently charged about €8 (30 PLN) for an automatic renewal of my Meta Quest+ subscription.

Probably you forgot to cancel the subscription... you should do that immediately. You can do that in the Horizon app - settings - Horizon +.

About a refund... you can talk to support via email, chat or WhatsApp HERE

But it would be godwill if they give you a refund. It's not their fault when you forget to cancel a subscription.😉

You can log in to your Meta account online and cancel your subscription. No headset needed. The onus is on you. You've probably been charged the subscription fee every month since selling the headset.

I sincerely hope you did a factory reset on your headset before you sold it, otherwise your payment method could now be in the hands of the person you sold the headset to 😉. Tip: you can remotely factory reset the headset using the Meta Horizon phone app if the headset still appears linked to your account.
