Controllers do not work in applications, whether it is from Oculus Home, Meta Home or Steam Home
I bought a Oculus Quest 2 headset roughly a month ago, and I've run into a problem that I've been attempting to fix with no solution (so far, from me at least.)
I boot up my Oculus Quest 2, my controllers work fine, everything work fine so far, I can connect, I can download, etc. I can also link to Meta Horizon, I can link to Steam. I can interact with my desktop on my PC. However, the problem start to occur when I try to boot up an application.
I tried to boot up VR Chat from Oculus Home, my controllers still respond but my buttons do not work. I can press the Home button and it'll register, but I cannot interact with the game.
I tried to boot up VR Chat from Meta Horizon application, my controllers once again respond but do not work. I boot up the Video Player as well, and my controllers still register, but their buttons can't be pressed to interact with VRChat, I have to quit by using the Home button.
The last one was trying to use Steam Link/Steam VR, but once I get into those screens, none of the buttons seem to work properly. Even though I check my controllers are paired, working and their inputs register in Oculus Home/Meta Horizon, they don't seem to respond.
These all have something in common: They all register, I can use them to point at things and they get highlighted, I can use the joystick to scroll, the trigger to highlight (in Steam VR, anyways,) but when I try to press A, B, X, Y, they don't work. The Home button does work however to lead me back to the homescreen of Oculus Home/Meta Horizon Home.
It's a bit of a headache since I wanted to buy a Oculus Quest 2 for several years now and I finally got it I want to fix it since it'll be a waste of money if I just leave it be. These are pretty much brand new, so I don't think I'll get a replacement for the headset nor the controllers. All their buttons work fine normally in Oculus Home/Meta Horizon Home and even in Desktop view.
I have tried to factory reset, I have took out the batteries, put them back in again, I have gotten new batteries, but nothing seems to help with the problem itself. I'm using Cable Link as well, and my headset is fully charged, so are my controllers, because I put new batteries in them.
I'd appreciate any help if there were any, please, and thank you.
