Horizon link not working

My Q3 was linking fine to my PC this afternoon, then literally an hour or two later, will not link.

I'm using a usb 3.0 cable, it is in a USB 3 port, power management of USB port is set correctly.

I get a notification saying 'Meta Quest Link isn't working correctly. Click here to check our support article'.

There is no support article.

I have restarted the headset and PC, repaired the Horizon app, logged out and back into the Horizon app, restarted the OVR service and I still can't get it to work.

Anyone else having or had similar issues recently?

Horizon software 83.0.0.333.349

Headset V83.1034 build 5156385.14650.520

Grateful for any ideas.

6 hrs since I tried using meta quest link and still not working... I guess it'll be a week or two before we get any update.

Same for me, Quest 3. Bit of googling I discovered a reddit thread suggesting disabling internet on PC when connecting headset. Tried it and worked for me. You can reenable internet once headset is working, but will need to disable it again each time you connect.

Need a proper fix from Meta.

Same problem here with my Quest 3 and same software versions

Same, have tried all of the “standard troubleshooting” tips over the past hour or so.  No luck.  I hope there is an update or fix soon.

How does such a major outage/failure happen with such high impact and there's no communication from Meta even half a day later?  It boggles the mind.

Same problem with air link. I was able to connect with air link this morning. This afternoon suddenly not able to connect. Just sits in limbo on the meta logo... Last time this happened it took them about a year before it worked again. Hopefully they get it straightened fast this time.

Has anyone heard of a solution, or if Meta even knows that the issue is ongoing?

Still the exact same problem!

I thought it was just me.

Same thing here also. Even setup my quest 2 to wifi finally and updated the software for the first time in a long time but still no results. There was a windows update i did last night, maybe that caused this problem? im at a loss now though. Was working perfectly LAST NIGHT.

Q2 user here. I read one of the suggested solutions down below and double confirmed with a friend on VRChat that also uses the Q2.

Basically, disable the Wi-Fi on your headset and disable the network connection on your PC. Next, engage the Meta Desktop Link. Once it connects, re-enable the network connection only on your PC (in my case, turn the wi-fi back on and let it reconnect to the network.)

You're good to go with whatever PCVR app you want, be it VRChat or whatever else you play.
That'll be the process going forward until Meta fixes their stuff (whenever they decide to grace us with a fix)
