Pairing & Connections

Good evening and happy new year! I'm using my oculus quest 2 with a "CableTex usb-c to usb-c 3.1 5m" but i'm not getting it recognized as a 3.0 but only as a usb 2 (at -+ 350Mbps). My motherboard is a "MSI MAG B550 tomahawk" (mounted i have a ryzen 9 3900x, 32 gb ram and an msi gaming x rtx 2060super); i'm getting the same result through all my usb C ports:-1 on the front (connected to the internal motherboard connector which is  a 3.2 gen1 usb c)-1 on the rear io (direct from the motherboard which is a 3.2 gen2 usb c)-1 on the rear pci expansion card (it's a supageek pci expansion card, which theoretically from the amazon spec. is 3.0, although it says in the description that it is NOT compatible with oculus rift; anyway is working fine but recognize as usb 2 as the others)From Device Manager in windows 10 pro it says that my ports are 3.1/3.0 but i know that there are some misleading in the meaning of usb 3.x genX; so i think that windows is operating those p

My oculus won’t connect with air link is says air link not working correctly did all the steps idk what else to do

I cannot connect to any meta apps, including casting, meta store, horizons or even installing apps like gorilla tag. The browser works and takes me to any website I want to visit. Internet is connected and working fine but no matter what I do thru meta apps or features including AI it gives me a network connection error.

Hi! So ive just bought a quest 3 comming from Pico 4. With pico I used virtual detoskop and  a link cable with ethernet conncetion. What is the best way to play pcvr games with Quest 3 with link cable if I want the best possible image quality? 

Hello everyone! My question is: Do I need earphones to use META QUEST 3S or does it work without earphones?THANK YOU! 

I've been trying since I acquired my 3s in February to install the Link app so I can use the headset wired to my pc rather than over wifi, which is extremely unreliable and laggy. So far, I've tried disabling all of my antivirus and firewall through Windows Defender, installing with and without the headset plugged in with various compatible cables, creating a new partition (at the advice of support?) to install it on, and others I'm sure I've forgotten since this is such a long ongoing issue. I have a Lenovo laptop with a Ryzen 7435, a GTX 4060, and 16gb of ram, with around 100gb of free space. I'm not really sure what else I can do to get it installed at this point but was wondering if anyone knew any other way.

The right controller on my 3s isn’t working. It has a flashing white light. All software is updated. When I go to pair the right hand on it says the right hand controller needs updating and updates software on it. I get a success message and the controller buzzes but then it says it can’t find the controller. Pairing doesn’t work. It has new batteries in. What can be done?

Hi, my link cable randomly keeps disconnecting whilst playing games. I know for a fact its not certain games because it does it with every game I play while using the link cable. I've tried 3 different link cables ranging from USB-C to USB-C and USB 3.0 to USB-C. I have also tried getting a different headset to see if that will fix it but it didn't. This issue started out on the Meta Quest 3 and so I tried getting a whole new headset and switching to the Meta Quest 3s to see if it would fix it but it didn't. I feel at this point it would be a problem with my pc but I wouldn't know where to start. Please can someone help me with this issue it is really frustrating.

Just want to start off by saying as someone who used to watch all the virtual reality adverts for the quests when I was younger, I was excited to buy one and even more so to play one in future to play games on a gaming pc. Fast forward now I'm 20, finally got both, and to my utter disappointment my dreams were shattered right infront of me as I opened the game I'd waited years to play, PC CONNECTED TO A WIFI EXTENDER VIA ETHERNET BY THE WAY; to be greeted  by constant spinning. I don't have drift, but everytime I point my controllers at the desktop it keeps spinning around and bugging out, only when I do something that takes the pointers off the screen is when it stops.I'm just curious is this just poor people repellent, is the quest 2 now just being turned into junk while quest 3 is out to force people to buy it? I’m seriously fed up at this point. Meta pushed another one of their "updates" and now Air Link on my Quest 2 is completely useless.I had zero problems for months. Air Link was working great. Then an update hit, I had to reinstall the PC software just to get it to work again. Thought I was in the clear. Three days later – boom – another update, and now I’m stuck again. Air Link won’t connect. Just an infinite loading screen with the Meta logo and those three little dots.That’s it. No error message. No timeout. Just a goddamn limbo screen.I’ve done everything:Reinstalled the PC software (again)Restarted the headsetRestarted the PCChecked firewall settingsVerified both devices are on the same networkSitting right next to the router, no signal issuesAND IT STILL WON’T CONNECT.Here’s the kicker: I’m on Wi-Fi 6, not even Wi-Fi 7. Hello... I'm hoping someone can help me out please? My controller's have stopped working on my oculus quest 2... they flash & vibrate every 5 seconds... I've tried multiple things but to no avail ☹️ PLEASE HELP!!!

I cant log into my oculus/meta account even after several times. I think this has a relation with creating my meta account using Instagram so can someone please help me? I really wish there was a "login using Instagram" option so developers, please add this and thank you.

Hi,I am looking to use my Meta Quest 3 remotely at events to allow people to view a Matterport scan of an aircraft I am helping to restore. My question is, sometimes we may be in a situation where there will be no wifi and we will have to use a portable wifi hotspot. Can anyone advise as to how much data I am likely to use if one person used the headset to look at the scan we have created?ThanksAlex

Since V77 dropped on my Quest 3, the centre indicator light, on the Meta Charging Dock, is staying at a solid amber, even though the Quest 3 light is showing green and the headset/elite strap with battery are 100% charged.The headset still appears to be working, but the charging interface between the Quest 3 and the official charging dock, along with the official meta elite strap with battery is no longer behaving properly, as it was prior to the update?I've tried shutting the headset down and then turning it on again, which initially sets the centre indicator light as green, but this turns back to the solid amber in a very short time.Any suggestions as to how I might get my combo to charge correctly again?

 Hello everyone, at this point I'm just going to post here but for about months I tried contacting the Meta support with the fact that my left controller is experiencing joystick drift. After about 15 mail and not a single instance of help, I genuinely have no more ideas on what to do. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Hello,I was testing out random features and saw a toggle for disabling the Proximity Sessor. I turned it on to see what it would do and now the option to toggle it off has disappeared in the headset. I have tried factory resetting all 3 different ways. Resetting all settings in the headset itself and the option to turn it back off, but it has still disappeared. The reason I need to turn it off is because of the picture below. I cannot now disable the sensor for 8 hours at a time in the Development Hub which is important for what I do. THERE IS NO SETTING IN THE GENERAL MENUE TO TOGGLE WHAT ITS ASKING BACK OFF IT DISSAPEARED AFTER I TURNED IT ON IN THE SETTING.

i dont care anymore i want either a refund or something done, i cant buy a controller i cant repair my controller theres no third party shops that even sell meta quest controllers cause meta doesnt sell them on purpese so they can get more money, i cant even get spare parts to fix my controller and the cherry on top is that i didnt even do anything to the controller, first it was the joystick but i kinda worked around it it was okay i guess and i used the other joystick for movement this ment i couldn't play many of the games but it was okay now its disconnecting constantly even after i opened it and cleaned it up from the inside theres nothing i can do other then to buy a new headset just for the controllers, how can you fumble a vr controller so bad that only after a few months of usage it just breaks like that and on top of that theres no way for me to get a new one, came on meta you gotta do at least something

This is my first time getting this kind of message. so i used rx580 when using questlink and i don't have any problem upgraded my cpu no problem too but when i changed my gpu from rx 580 to rtx 5060 it doesn't met the minimum requirement ?

So my brother gave me his meta quest 2 headset yesterday and i tried pairing the headset to my phone but when i got to the choose what headset to pair.. it wouldn't let me scroll down to click on the headset i have. i uninstalled the app and cleared the cache but no luck. so i decided to try and do it by my computer and plugged in my usb C to a usb port on my computer and into the headset but no luck.i have no idea what to do since this is my first headset of any kind of VR and ive been desperately trying to get it paired so i can experience VR for the first time can anyone possibly offer some kind of assistance?

I recently bought a quest 3, used it once a few days ago for a few minutes to make sure everything works, but I tried to get on today, and neither of the controllers will turn on no matter what I do, has anyone else had this issue, or know how to fix it?
