Meta Horizon Link no longer works — infinite loading and disconnect error

Ive been using Meta Quest Link without any issues for a few years, but it has suddenly stopped working completely.

Whenever I try to connect, I receive the message "Meta Horizon Link isn't working correctly," followed by an infinite loading screen. Eventually, it says the headset has disconnected, even though the USB cable remains connected the entire time.

I've spent hours troubleshooting and have not been able to fix it.

As a workaround, I tried using ALVR over a USB cable instead of Wi-Fi. Although it technically works, the image is extremely blurry and gives me a headache regardless of the settings I use, so it is not a viable replacement for Meta Link.

PC specification: AMD Radeon RX 6800S GPU.

Has anyone else experienced this recently? Could this be related to a recent Meta update, and has anyone found a working fix?

      Could this be related to a recent Meta update

      Which update? On the Quest? On the link software? Are you on PTC?

      What is your current version?

      I'm on build v2.5 on Quest and PTC (v206....) in the link app on pc....this combination works.

      A friend who is on PTC with Quest(v2.6) and pc as well is unable to link the Quest to pc currently, not via cable and not via air link.

        Try this: while you are on the loading screen, press the power button to put the headset in standby, then press the button again.

        A friend did this and suddenly the Quest was linked ... I have no idea why😂

        Don't ask me why, Steve...  but it did🤪

        Maybe it was coincidence, his intention was to get out of the loading screen.

        It does not take any effort for others to try that out, so I mentioned it.🙃

        Same exact problem happening to me too for lıke 4 days just like you and this happened the moment my meta horizon link app's logo changed ıts proboably about the **bleep**ty update

        I can't make my own post but since this latest update meta link no longer works which means I lose acces to roughly $200 worth of games despite there being zero issues it say my computer no longer meets the requirements.

        Meta Horizon Link logged me out, no matter what i do i keep getting "user/password incorrect" and that is not true. 
        I also (just to be sure) reset/changed my password. I can log in to the website, to the Horizon Mobile app, but Horizon Link keep telling me wrong password. 
        At this point i can't use it anymore with my PC
