Mixed Reality Link Connection Drop

Since the last update, my Meta 3 headset has been on a constant disconnect/reconnect loop while running Mixed Reality Link.

I run my virtual desktop via wifi through the Virtual Display app in passthrough mode. Every few minutes I get a beep, and the desktop window display (not the virtual window, but the actual windows ON my desktop) slightly readjusts, a second beep, and the layout returns to its correct layout.

This constant interruption only happens when using the headset to run a virtual desktop. Doesn't happen on a physical monitor, and the frequency decreases almost completely when running it in VR mode (Loft).

I've cleanly installed my pc driver, the mixed reality app, and an assortment of various device manager and monitor settings to no avail.

Looking to see if anyone else has run into this. Can provide more detailed troubleshooting I've gone through in the last few days if needed.

This has been happening to me too and its very annoying. I notice leaving it alone for while makes it stop. But then it comes right back again. Have you found a solution yet?

I haven't found a solution for it unfortunately. It's intermittent for me too. I can go an hour with nothing, and then a severe hour where passthrough mode is almost completely unstable, beeping and resetting my window multiple times within a span of seconds.

I've just been using it in VR mode (loft) with physical keyboard passthrough, and the constant disconnects have mostly stopped.

For now, this is the only workaround that works. I've done all of the following:

- Complete clean removal and reinstallation of Mixed Reality Link and PC Graphics Driver via DDU
- Complete removal of PC profile and repairing fresh profile
- Factory Reset and update headset in case of corrupted update
- Increased Windows 11 network/ethernet power management
- disabled any band steering on the router and set to least congested network
- cleared all monitor caches in hkey local machine
- cleared DXCache
- cleared thumbnail.db (ProcMon was flagging several thumbnail access denied errors  previously - can't run ProcMon anymore - now it crashes the headset completely)
- reregistered regsvr32 and  thumbcache.ddl
- disabled HAGS
- lowered the bandwidth in Mixed Reality Link to it's lowest setting
