Oculus app stuck on “pairing your quest 2” screen

Title really says it all. My oculus is stuck on the paring your quest screen. My phone says it’s connected but the app is stuck. I have already tried deleting and reinstalling the app and turning on and off Bluetooth so I don’t know what to do.

Connect the headset and phone via bluetooth. (+ the phone and Quest must be connected to the same Wi-Fi access point, say, both to 5 GHz). This helped me and I started broadcasting to my phone. Quest 3 v59.

I'm having the same problem and have a case open with Meta for weeks. Has anyone been able to fix this? I don't see the headset on my Bluetooth list by the way.

Hi evan1975. Meta can´t fix this. I got now a label for sending the Quest to Meta. They will exchange it with other refurbished Quest 2.

I will update if the new one works then 😄

PLEASE READ!!

I hope everyone experiencing this issue (which I'm sure many) finds this post.

If you have any issue with not been able to pass the paring screen while the app says your device is paired, you may want to try the following these steps.

1. Make sure BOTH controllers are PAIRED and switched ON.

2. Make sure you have connected the quest to a Wifi hotspot through the app. (Obviously you can only do this through the app since the device is stuck on the paring screen)

3. If both these conditions are met and you are still STUCK on the pairing screen - * unpair both controllers from the app and follow instructions on the app to Pair them again. Please don't skip this step.

If everything goes well - you may experience a firmware update on your controller and once complete you will see a blue box on the pairing screen to continue.

I hope this helps! Unfortunately, Meta customer care is just a waste of time. I bet most of them have never even used a headset. I really hope Meta gets their act together and improve their customer experience. They have somehow made a seasoned consumer product experience feel like a garage project.

oculus support needs to learn about this fix

If they took the time to read through and understand, they would know that it's a fix.  Instead they continue to pat themselves on the back. Best way to help is to give it a like. That way others know it works.

Thank you so much. I have been stuck in this for 2 weeks, trying all types of solution i found. In my case, once i have paired with my phone app, i pushed the wifi settings to the headset and woke ****BOTH**** controllers. then i had the option to proceed. if you are using only one, the option does not appear.

Did you find a resolution that actually works. I've tried doing the delete and reinstall. Everything I've tried everything and nothing seems to make it work. Like it will connect to anything, but won't show that the Bluetooth is on. It's quite annoying

Hi, I am having the same issue. It is incredibly frustrating. I have 5 Quest 2s and 3 Quest Pros. I am trying to set them up for a demo this week. I have factory reset all of them, and only this one is having this issue. I spent at least 3 hours trying to reconnect and is just says "Pairing" and gets stuck.

Hi

Did you wake both controllers and connect them through the phone app to WiFi and Bluetooth?

Simply go to the app click on the device settings for the headset, and unpair the controllers. Then repair the controllers one at a time and they stuck screen will go away
