Quest 1 not pairing and serial number not recognized on the website

I factory reset my quest 1 on the device.
In the meta app it says my headset is still connect but it is not.
The headset wants to pair and the app doesn't recognize the headset since it thinks it is still connected.

My serial number is: [redacted]
It is printed on the headset and the QR code gives the same number.

I can't set up my headset again.

Hi raldone01 🙂

Use another phone or a tablet to pair the Quest.

Pairing the Quest 1 does not work on an Android phone with the current Meta Horizon version anyways.

The easiest way is using an iphone  - maybe you can borrow one for a few minutes - on iphones the setup works without issues.

On Android phones setting up the Quest 1 only works when you use an older version of the Horizon app.

The solution in the link below decribes what you must do. Unfortunately, the link to the old version doesn't work anymore. I'll put in a link where you can download old versions.😉

Meta support doesnt't recognize my Oculus Quest (1st gen) serial number so I cannot get help. | Meta Community Forums - 1274215

The app will tell you to update - you must skip that. Unfortunately, the scaling of the (old) app doesn't fit most phone screens and the continue/skip button is not visible. If that's the case, use a tablet for the setup. Even here the button is only partially visible at the bottom, but you should be able to use it.

212.0.0.2.109 worked some time ago. I'm not sure, if it still does. You might have to try multiple ones. The number gives you at least an idea where to look🙃

And as Maccyb123 said, edit your post and remove the serial number... also on the screenshot.

Firstly, immediately remove your serial number and the screenshot. This is a user only forum. There are no Meta staff here, no Meta moderators, no Meta community managers. Just users. It is also unsecured and public. You have doxxed your own headset to give hackers a chance to disable it remotely.  Now, I'm not sure if you're spamming here or haven't a clue what you're doing. Firstly totally remove the headset through your account. It should disappear from your devices list, and then add it again.

The headset is not listed under devices on the website. Only in the app.

Any idea how I can contact meta support? Since the support assistant doesn't recognize the serial number I can contact any human.

Also spamming? I just posted this one discussion.

You can contact support here. Sorry,  there have been a lot of spamming comments like this.

Here's a link to talk to a human support person. Also don't forget to edit your comments and remove your serial number and the screenshot.

Good luck.

Version: 212.0.0.2.109

Worked for me. It is very disappointing that meta does not care about their older products which still work fine.

Thanks for your help!
