Try taking out the battery for a couple of hours and put it back in. Also, as batteries reach end of life, they will sometimes get extremely hot as the chemical reaction gets critical. That usually happens with lithium but it can happen with standard ones. Be careful too as these batteries can sometimes burst and ruin your controller. So either way put some new batteries in both controllers. I hope you can get it fixed and maybe other people will have ideas, but changing batteries is the easiest one to try first. Let's know how you get on. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

The Great Re‑Pairing Invocation of the Left‑Handed Realm

Oh noble spirit of Plasticus Controllerus,
Hear my plea across Bluetooth's fickle winds.
By the sacred wobble of the tracking ring,
By the ancient crumbs beneath the sofa,
By the batteries we swear were new (but weren't),
I summon thee back to life.

Arise, O Left Controller,
Shake off the curse of "Not Detected,"
Reject the void of "Pairing Failed,"
And return to the hand of your rightful wielder.

Let your haptics hum once more,
Let your buttons click with purpose,
Let your tracking be true and not drift into the abyss.

In the name of Firmware,
Update,
And Pure Desperation,

So mote it sync.

Hi PR0XY_055 🙂

batterys in it keep getting really hot

Is it a new battery? Does it get hot immediately?

After playing - and sweating - Gorilla tag for 2-3 years, there might be corrsion on the contacts in the battery compartment, or maybe there is a short circuit on the board.

If there is corrosion, clean it using a cotton swab and white vinegar.

If the contacts are clean and you are using a NEW battery but  you still have problems, you might need a repair service like Fix my Oculus - if you are in the US - or a vr headset repair service in your country. Just Google for it.

Interesting, I didn't know about them. And they have a drop-off/pick-up site about 30 mins drive from where I live.
