It's a PTC bug, you'll have to report it through the bug reporting tool on your headset and wait for a fix. Expect plenty more bugs to come.

Same here - had to take out the batteries to get them working again. Yesterday only the left controller came back and I had to re-pair the right controller via bluetooth. I'm on non-PTC v2.7 Build 5243367.3060.520 installed on 19.08.2026. Bug is reported. Bummer :/

I'm having the issue with my left controller. It just started today after an automatic update and I am not on PTC, I am on GA. I've had to re-pair two times. Very annoying. I am on 2.7 Build 5243367.3220.520. The first time the left controller got stuck in an update loop. Bug reported. Very inconvenient.

shoveler You are making multiple posts in quick succession on the same problem in different threads. That can be flagged as trolling or spamming and get you banned. I'm sure you didn't mean to do that but please identify the correct thread and post in that.. Just make it one comment with your problem. We are all just volunteering our time here to try to help so the less confusion the better. πŸ‘ Anyway, maybe try this. Take the battery out of the controller and let it sit for 10 minutes, it might reconnect itself. Good luck 🀞

I found that I can put my controller(s) back in the charging cradle for a second then they reengage when I pick them up again. Annoying. The Quest 3's charging port on the bottom is no longer charging on the dock either, I have to use the USB cable/charger to get it up to full charge.

I am facing the same issue; even after removing and reinserting the left and right batteries, the device fails to recognize them. A restart of the Q3 is required.

There seems to be variations of the same problem. Report it through the bug reporting tool on your headset. Hopefully enough reports will push them to fix it faster. 🀞🀞

I've also been having this exact same issue too after the update with my Quest 3 controllers. Seems like it's a universal issue, quite frustrating.

The issue persists; the left and right controllers cannot be woken up. Removing the batteries doesn't help either.

I have had this infuriating book for a while. when I'm watching movies on it and stuff like that I'm not really using the left hand controller and after a while it gives me a message saying it's gone offline press the button to wake it up and it doesn't wake up it's absolutely infuriating and they also have to pull the battery. I had I have this years ago and it was fixed with an update but I've had about four or five updates now and it hasn't fixed it.

How do you watch movies on a book? I'm intrigued πŸ™ƒ.

But actually, I had a similar issue. I was watching Prime Video hands free (controllers resting on desk). I put my headset to sleep while still in hands-free mode. When I came back later, the headset stayed stuck in hands-free mode even though I had picked up the controllers. I had to reboot the headset to get them to work again.

However, there was a software update since then (xxxxxxxxx.3600.520), and it seems to have fixed the bug as I can't reproduce it.
