right quest 3 controller paired and tracking, but no inputs work. Controller moves around when viewed through headset. but if you pull the trigger, grip , thumbstick, a, b, or meta button. they don't work, or move like there even getting a signal when viewed through headset. Left hand is fine.  Charged every thing up, left batteries out over night, paired controllers through app. tried factory reset but cant continue since it wants me to press the meta button on the right controller and it wont do it

Hey everyone! Losing access to the various input methods on your controllers can definitely make for a difficult experience, so we'd love to help out! If your controller isn't registering any proper inputs, be sure to double check for any status lights on the controller to make sure it's receiving power. If the controller is receiving power, we recommend trying out a controller factory reset, which is a bit different from a traditional headset factory reset. A controller factory reset resets the controller firmware itself.

To perform a factory reset on the Quest 3 controllers:

1. Use the correct button combination to start the factory reset process.

  • Right: Hold the A button and tap the Home (Meta logo) button 5 times.
  • Left: Hold the X button and tap the Menu button 5 times.

2. The LED will blink orange/white while the factory reset is being performed.

3. The LED will then change to light-blue during boot.

4. Controllers can be used again as normal once boot completes.

If you're stuck on the "pull tab from controller" screen after the reset, try waiting on the screen for 5 minutes. This should advance to the controller pairing screen where you should be able to finish pairing the controllers.

Hopefully that does the trick, but if not, feel free to reach out to us in a PM! We'd be more than happy to continue helping out there!

Having the same issue.  Controllers do not work but show as connected. When I hold the controllers and look at them sideways I can see the Meta/Home icons but the controllers do not point/click. I have unpaired and paired them I have tried to factory reset. Pair goes successful but they still do not work as controllers and I cannot get them to factory reset. How can this be fixed??? Seems like many people have this issue.

If you see the icons, you are in hand tracking mode. There is a bug... the controllers don't wake up after being in sleep mode.
