Quest 3 paired, but Meta Horizon Link PC app stuck on "Choose how to connect" page

Hi,

I recently had to re-pair my Quest 3 to the Meta Horizon Link PC app.  I paired the link via wifi/airlink with no issues (confirmation code sent and confirmed on PC app).  However, when launching the link, the headset displays a message stating that "Your device setup is still in progress.  Please take off  your headset and continue with setup on the Meta Horizon Link app on your computer."

On the PC app, it's stuck on a page displaying the text "Choose how to connect. - Over USB.... - Over Wi-fi...."  with no other buttons except for a "Learn More" link that takes me to the Meta website.  I cannot navigate to any other pages, and the back button (<-) in the top left corner is grayed out and unclickable.

I've also connected to the app via USB and I am still seeing the "Your device setup is still in progress" message on my headset and the "Choose how to connect" page on the PC app.   Any thoughts on how to get out of this loop?  Thanks!

Glad you got past that screen. I had a similar problem with the Link app. Why we can't resize some of its windows is a mystery, it's been like that since at least 2020 and Meta won't fix it.

    A couple of alternative solutions:

    • change the Windows display orientation 90 degrees. It's a pain to move the mouse like that, but it can help to uncover the hidden buttons.
    • blindly hit the TAB key a few times (usually 1 or 2 times) then hit the enter key. You will hopefully tab the focus onto the hidden button and get past the problem screen. A bit of trial-and-error is required.

Change your Windows text size setting back to 100% and the Link pages should display correctly showing the missing buttons.

Oh my, you're right.  Although my Windows text size was already at 100%, my Windows task bar was blocking a barely visible section of the Continue button.  After hiding the task bar, I was able to barely click on that section.  It would help if that "Choose how to connect" page on the Meta Horizon Link app was able to be resized and the Continue button responsive, which currently it is not.   Thanks so much! : )
