Please keep us updated, Elder Scrolls is one of the few franchises I still care about, KOTOR being the other and maybe star citizen. (although I would love to play an ultima online with overhead VR view for nostalgia reasons)
mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4123 I am looking into that LEEP VR I lack practical 3d knowledge, I have found some good links, but I am not sure if they are the ones you were talking about. Would you mind direct linking me to them?
Been in the last 3 betas, so far can't get it to work with oculus, the game itself looks like a modded version of skyrim so don't see why it shouldn't work well.
I've managed to run ESO in rift with tridef on Windows 7. DirectX 9 rendering can be forced by changing GraphicsDriver.7 in Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\UserSettings.txt to "D3D9". I don't know how to run ESO in true fullscreen mode instead of borderless windowed, so I've set desktop resolution to 1280x800. 1920x1200 also works (and gives sharper image) when "Desktop Res" is chosen in tridef's display settings.
Finally I can play first person mode with wide FOV, though the game uses frustum culling and it would be nice to find a way to set wider FOV in game settings.
Vexi: This is awesome, thanks so much for figuring that out, i'll try it next beta. How was the existing FOV? I understand they have no immediate plans to change this but is it even playable at the current setting with an oculus? Even at present if you equip a warhammer you can't even see the end of the weapon with current FOV... so i'm kinda concerned about that. Hopefully FOV is something that can be easily changed through an Addon after launch, however they really should put it in.
I've heard now through a developer comment that are putting an FOV slider into the game. This means that using Vexi's method this game would be oculus ready for launch with some tweaking. Does anyone know exactly what Chris Gallizzi did to get it running in Vireio? Sounds like a lot of the "work" is just forcing the game to run DX9
