The MasterGeek is as his name explains, on this forum he is very well respected. He does not troll, he informs. He gives proposed ideas thoughtful consideration, even more so than the one who originated the idea does, and offers solutions/critiques. When you are in a forum of "this" nature, which is meant for improvement of the Oculus and Oculus implementations you should always look at things objectively, and realize that even if you believe in your idea there is a chance it could be a bad idea, unable to work in reality or effectively. If you keep this in mind then you can accept criticism and advice without being offended, and to take it as an opportunity to learn, grow, and maybe even improve upon your own ideas. So feel blessed that he chooses to comment on your post and share with you his wealth of knowledge. :ugeek:

redirected mirrors would work if there were 2 screens......but I am only suggesting

then again 2 side by screens would improve the vertical.

2side by side screen have some probleme with proper 3d Vision.
It causes problems of vertical disparity beetween each eyes (due to unperfect alignment beetween two screens).


But btw :

Why are you all insisting on this "vertical" screen positionning, when I even myself told that it was a better Idea to keep the horizontal one, and but a "top&bottom" 3d image (with proper lens), instead of SideBySide ?

The choice of words in the first post implies (in other words) "vertically arranged". Perhaps that was not the OP's actual intent, even though he later confirmed he really did mean "vertically disposed" after I posted the definition of "disposed" as "arranged". English may not be the OP's native language, but his propensity to argue English semantics with a native speaker (another thread) belies that fact. Comprehensive reading and writing problems, certainly. Language translation problems, perhaps. Calling others "liars" and their posts "B.S." (here), or calling EVERYBODY "idiots" (other websites), is not a successful social tactic to gain acceptance or to be taken seriously by an online community.

However, regarding this thread topic, we have seriously discussed the technical merits (and demerits) of this idea, as it was (perhaps incorrectly) stated in the first post, and other variations. And we still seem to not understand exactly what the OP is proposing after reading his later (apparently conflicting) posts. As the first post is now worded, the humorous early replies were justified, and perhaps obligatory. Such is the nature of a multicultural public forum, even one of a primarily technical nature such as this.

"Some" people REALLY need to word their statements more carefully, and perhaps go back and re-read the post to which they are replying (using a dictionary to prevent taking personal offsense where none was intended), before replying in haste. Diagrams or photos can greatly aid understanding when presenting an idea. When challenging the IDEAS of others, supporting evidence is critically important. Semantic arguments are a waste of time, especially when using false arguments of your own. Communications skills are important when communicating. Obviously.

EDIT: This post SHOULD be considered as friendly and valuable advice. I have high hopes (but low expectations) that it will be accepted as such. I hope that I did not waste my time trying to help somebody who does not want to be helped.

at FIRST, i was speaking of vertical positionning of the screen cuz it was the only solution i had in mind to get more horizontal pixel available.

But , reading the answers , my opinion has evolved, and I found the answer of another contributor even better, to resolve the same problem.

tl;dr, BUT I kinda like the idea of having the screen behind the head. Maybe as a counterweight, and you could fit in SUPER DUPER ADVANCED motion trackers in the front... :lol:
